We had a wonderful time staying at the Highland Club in Fort Augustus. It was nice being able to stay in an apartment, especially with three kids. There was enough space around the grounds for the kids to run around and play. The property itself was lovely and the apartment we stayed in was very modern and clean. The only... More

Stayed in an apartment here for a week in July 2015. They have an indoor heated pool, tennis court, a large open grassy field with evening visits by a multitude of rabbits. There is also a great hall with billiards and free wifi. The inner courtyard features an oversized chess grid with large chess men...kids love this. Apartments in the... More

Two families with 5 boys (6-11) stayed for two nights in the abbey apartments. We had apartment 9 with a backyard and 12. The grounds are amazing and we enjoyed playing soccer, tennis and the playground. We ate dinner at the Boathouse and loved the food. You can walk right into the town. I highly recommend for families with kids.... More

We booked a two bedroom, two bath accommodation with a sleeper sofa for grandparents (us), dad and mom, and our two grandchildren. The master bedroom was spacious and comfortable, as was the living area and well-equipped kitchen. We didn't have a view of Loch Ness, but we had a small private garden and quick access to the swimming pool, a... More

We were really looking forward to our stay at the Highland Club based on the reviews and pics we saw online. We stayed 2 nights in the "Chapel," which had it's only little wing within the Abbey. The Chapel apartment was nice, but very basic: Basic, bland white bathroom, very basic beds which were the most uncomfortable of all the... More

Highland Club Scotland is an amazing historical property with a variety of privately owned properties for short term rental. We rented two one bedroom properties due to different arrival and departure days. The lounge is comfortable with a gigantic pool table. The swimming pool and sauna / steam area is small but very relaxing. Staff are friendly and helpful but... More

Decent launching point if you want a central location to do day trips from. Skye, Ben Nevis, Fort William are a within a reasonable drive. Pool was great for the kids. There is a limit of 16 people in the pool so sign up for your slot in advance during busy times. Kids thought the chips at the Lock Inn... More

We are already planning our return trip. We could not have asked for a better accommodation for our family. We stayed in Old School 6 with my mom and two sons (2.5 and 4.5). My husband and I slept on the sofa bed so that my mom could have the master suite and we were all comfortable. The children loved... More

What a gem! Fantastic place for a family holiday! Great amenities including a very warm pool and great lawn games. The highlight was the location on Loch Ness and the lawn chess. The adjacent restaurant is also a must try. Would recommend to anyone!

This holiday venue is superb - a building renovation that apparently has won awards and quite deservedly so. The apartments are beautiful with all that you would need and there is lots to do on the site (swimming, croquet, tennis, football, pool, beauty treatments etc) or in the village/surrounding area (great walks, activities, places to visit). Having stumbled across this... More
