Stayed in The Monastery, beautiful views over Loch Ness. Days whiled away throwing stones in The Loch, looking for Nessie, chasing rabbits, swimming, playing football, tennis, ping pong and chess. Took a boat ride and walked to the farm and around Invermoristen Falls. Perfect family holiday, really relaxing. Even the odd shower didn't spoil the fun.

We stayed in the riverside cottage #3, before we arrived they sent a message asking at what time we were planning our arrival, and sure enough they were waiting for us at the door. They showed us around and quicky we were off to explore this fantastic place. The house really felt like home, i travel with kids so washer... More

This was a wonderful place to go and enjoy the beautiful building and stunning scenery. We especially enjoyed the grounds and the different activites available including Boules. The accomodation was to an extremely high standard and had everything we needed. We would suggest allocating an hour each day for Adult only swimming as that was the only negative of the... More

We had a great stay here as a young family. It was relaxed and quiet. The pool, tennis, kids climbing frames, table tennis and games room were a real hit with our kids. Staying in a converted monastery with views of Loch Ness was stunning. Fort Augustus itself is a lovely little place with a few eateries, a couple of... More

I booked The Highland Club for four nights as a surprise break for my husband's 50th birthday after seeing the stunning pictures on the Highland Club Scotland website. The pics are understated compared to when you arrive and see the site itself in person - the building and location is just breathtaking. We stayed in Monastery 7 - Nevis, a... More

I couldn't recommend this more highly to anyone. We stayed as a group of 3 adults and 2 children, with half of the group over from Sweden to see the Highlands. As we had only booked for half a week, on the day before departure, we found ourselves agreeing to change our plans, and request that we stay for the... More

After a beautiful (and albeit interesting) drive up to FA in the snow, we arrived early afternoon and were met by the charming Charles Canning. My children and I were given the grand tour, complete with a very interesting history lesson of the Fort and monastery. Such a beautiful building with so many original features and the location on Loch... More

Many Thanks for that. Hope to see you again I am particularly fond of the Old school Building myself, it takes you back to days when School buildings had real character - and of course the Clock! Kind Regards Charles More

We had dutifully told Abbey Management of our arrival time in plenty of time to turn the heating on, so the chill would be removed before we arrived. It was after all, the depths of winter, with snow on the tops and even lower, but no. We did get a nice welcome when we arrived and was congratulated for choosing... More

Hi Firstly I apologise for not responding to your review sooner, I have been unable to get logged on here for some time, except as a traveller, so I tried asking you a question but perhaps you did not receive it. We stayed in this amazing building for a week 4 adults and 2 children. The apartment we stayed in was the Talisker.... Well furnished with everything you could ever need. The beds were so comfortable that it was hard to get out of them on a morning and a dream to get into in a night after a busy day... More
