Stayed in Lodge 9 for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The view from the verandah was stunning. You could see a small part of Loch Ness through the trees. It was warm and sunny which added to the enjoyment and the scenery. Very quiet and peaceful. Lodge was clean and comfortable. Approach road from Drumnadrochit is single track, quite steep, in parts, and winding but luckily not very busy.

If you like carry on films this place you will like Our lodge number 4 was rustic feel uneven floors and if you used the WC don't bounce or you will follow through! Damp in the rooms and you need a computer skill to tune in the tv you will not find bbc or bbc news Leading to the lodges has a road 3 miles long the locals done have a speed limit so be careful on the turns also on the ridge The view is limited to a small section of the lake due to trees or 3 days of rainfall The lodge had a stone holding up the stairs and small size 2 bedrooms Bed 1 had a small double bed clean sheets but if your 6f it's wall to wall Bed 2 2 small single beds with clean shee but cold 🥶 if you go winter there are heaters but enjoy the smell of warmed up dust Kitchen was small but workability is a challenge no dish cloth or dishwasher!!!!!!!!!!! Had 4 of everything so was ok oven was clean Front room was ok if you like to smell the wc If you go as a party you will get woken by the other party going to the loo or something else Grounds where lovely and if you want to buy from the shop limited to snacks if it's open times change by the hour !!!! Shops are great but it's not cheap parking is cheap and the locals love tailgating you ! It's a place you would go and find something else next time

Lovely lodge in beautiful surroundings. Had everything we needed. Lodges were spaced out nicely so we’re very private. Children’s play area. 3 miles from Drumnadrochit, but small shop on site selling some essentials and lovely gifts. Very friendly staff. We’ll definitely be back.

I spent ages looking for where to stay in Loch Ness and settled on these lodges. For quality of accommodation, views and location. We stayed in cabin 1 which is a newly done up lodge and it was very well done. It was very clean. Towels and bedding all clean. All of the kitchen crockery and glasses were very clean and I often don't like using kitchens away from home but this was spotless. The information provided was all really useful. It was incredibly peaceful which is what we were after and my two children went straight out the front and built a den when we arrived. The manager was around on site and very friendly - gave us some tips on where to walk round the site and to get some views of the Loch up higher. It is up much higher than the Loch so you couldn't see it from our lodge but it was only about a 10 minute drive back down. It's about 1/3 of the way along the Loch which we thought was useful for visiting other places. Would recommend the local pub Fiddlers and a trip to Dores for the beach. And we drove to Skye for the day which took about 1.5 hours but well worth it for some more spectacular views.

If I could rate more I would! We drove 7+ hours for our staycation this year and boy was it worth it! Our Lodge Cabin was Thistle 2. We were greeted with Tea & Coffee facilities and our pooch had a welcome box, which he very much enjoyed! The lodge was clean, towels & bedding provided, as well as cleaning supplies!!!! Logs provided for the fire and extra left In the cabin. The use of a kettle, microwave, fridge freezer, iron & vacuum all in the cabin too. The grounds are very well kept and maintained. I spoke to one lady (So sorry I didn't catch your name!) Who came to speak to my reactive dog (Sorry!) Thankfully she understood the circumstances of his reactiveness. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking and the air smells a different type of clean. I can't describe it, we live in a city so maybe we just too use to the fumes. It is only a short drive to local amenities & attractions. I finally found a Highland cow too! Although they were very skeptical of me trying to snap a cheeky photo! There is a small play area that I would say for 5/6 & under. It was lovely to find so many bird feeders and streams through the site, I presumed this was because Ancarraig Lodges are on their own water system, however, they looked very clean! We were lucky to visit when the weather was good, I would suggest travelling with winter tyres on the car as the hill up to the Great Glenn Way is STEEP! All in all I highly recommend, the money is well worth it and I will be back, maybe in a double glazed Lodge this time. I am far too used to the ease of the locks 😆.

Absolutely LOVED this place. Situated on the Great Glen way above Loch ness each unit has been positioned to make best of the views and give privacy. The drive to the site was great fun definitely wouldn't want to tackle in snow or ice !! I stayed in a Thistle lodge with my dog. I loved that the veranda was enclosed with a gate so I could let him off lead. The lodge had everything I could have needed. With the log burner lit it was toasty warm. It was spotlessly clean and so quiet. It was lovely to have a decent amount of space to move around. The steep stairs up to the lodge were initially a bit daunting with an excited strong dog but we're still here to tell the tale ! It was nice to be able to take my dog for some nice walks the road was never too busy. I had always wanted to stay in a log cabin and this didn't disappoint. I only regret not booking to stay longer.

If you want an off grid, scenic holiday with spectacular views then visit these lodges. If you want 5 star luxury, top of the range all singing all dancing this is not for you! The lodge was clean, tidy snd had towels, fresh bedding. It has a small fridge, microwave, cooker and hob, sink (no dishwasher) but we don't have one at home so wasn't particularly bothered by this. There is kettle, a toaster and coffee pod machine and cleaning items, dishwashing soap etc. The drive up to the cabin is a little up and down, but it safe and well maintained, there is a Coop in the village and a pizzeria, fish and chip shop and pharmacy/ health clinic, this is not in walking distance. There is also a reasonably priced garage for fuel near the lodges too. The WiFi isn't great but we knew that before coming and made do, the reception on the phone isn't great for 02 but EE was good. The views from our lodge number 9 was spectacular, and when clear can see the Loch and also the deer would roam in the field near yo our lodge. It's very quiet and peaceful one of the best holidays we have had. We managed to also see the Highland games which was great too. There are plenty of local amenities, restaurants, cafe and gift shops. Main supermarkets are in Inverness just a short drive there and back. The staff on site are helpful and have good knowledge of the area, and very pleasant to talk too. You will need midge bite repellent and also citronella candles as they can get a bit bitey. As a family with our 12 year old daughter we truly had a wonderful time and will definitely return in the future. Thanks to everyone on site!
