We were originally supposed to be staying elsewhere in the area but had many problems (won't go into on here) and therefore found these lodges online last minute and booked to stay for a long weekend in October. We found the lodges very clean and cosy with all the amenities you could ask for - nice sofa's in the living... more

Myself and my partner and our collie dog came to stay at the lodges through Hoeseasons. We booked it last minute and got a great deal. Although once I had booked it I came on to trip advisor and almost cancelled because of the reviews!! We stayed in lodge 12 up the back it was great, the lodge was very... more

Hi. Having read previous reviews , I very nearly cancelled this accomodation. We were up to Loch Ness for a few days , as my son and his friend were running the Loch Ness Marathon, so I thought we needed a comfortable place to stay and was rather perturbed by the poor reviews. With trepidation, we marched up the crunchy... more

My fiance booked 4 nights direct with Anarraig for my 40th birthday. Their website made the lodges sound like a romantic getaway with more than comfortable accommodation. How wrong could a website be!!!! The heating advertised is electric central heating - complete nonsense. There is one wall heater in each of the bedrooms and an oil filled radiator in the... more

We stayed a week at ancarraig and we've got to admit it was a well earned rest, the location was quiet, and the nearest shops were 3 miles away total heaven the cabin was lovely and warm the water pressure needs seeing to but that is the location as your up in the hills but its clean and tidy theres... more

We booked this lodge through Hoseasons for 4 nights after looking for accommodation in Loch Ness. We looked at the brochure and the website and it looked really nice and the reviews on here weren't too many or too bad. Looking again I can read them in a new light. The lodge we stayed in (and I doubt the others... more

We booked our little break to Drumnadrochit through hoseasons and we where looking forward to a wee break away in the beautiful highlands. Drumnadrochit is a quaint little village and a great base to explore the highlands and islands of Scotland. We went to Urqhart castle, Inverness, Nairn and then headed to the west coast to the Kyle of Lochalsh... more

The logdes in fairness were ok. All very clean, although the exterior could do with some attention. The weather was quite cold the week we were there (Mid-July) and found the heating for our cabin was insufficent, particularly with the single glazing and electric heaters. It did smell damp and foisty. The low water pressure meant we could not have... more

I was vacationing with my relatives in Cornwall and Plymouth and they surprised me by taking me to the Highlands. We stayed in a cabin at Ancarraig. It was lovely for a cabin. Remote yet within travelling distance by car from all the tourist attractions. The locals were very friendly and the hotels offered a drive to and from your... more

The cabins are immaculate, modern and really good value for money. If you are looking for a quiet retreat and just staying in your cabin at nights then this is ideal. It is 3 miles from Drumnadrochit and it is up a windy road which you couldn't walk. In Drumnadrochit there are a few restaurants but no pubs really just... more
