This is a wonderful little place. Really friendly and welcoming. Treated like we were family rather than guests. Would love to go back. Was a little tricky to find but as it's tucked away it felt really safe and wasn't too far from the village. We had a wonderful 3 nights stay.

The room had a bit of a 70's feel too it , felt more like an hostel than a b&b as there was no staff around until breakfast in the morning who in fairness were more than friendly enough . We found this a bit too far out from the town and pubs , and the taxi company we tried... More

The hotel is well located,5min away from urqhart castle. However i found it very expensive. We paid 70£ for a double room and the breakfast was not included. When i booked through booking.com I knew that breakfast was not included but when i was at the hostel and i saw how impersonal it was the place (rooms are not cosy... More

At first I was delighted when I saw how close to the walking route this bed & breakfast was but the downside is that without transport it's a bit of a walk into town for food and drink. This wasn't a family home - the house was not lived in, purely run as a business and it showed in the... More

Great place to stay, with an exceptional host in Suzanne. The rooms were lovely and clean, the bed was comfortable and the peace and quiet was exceptional. The views were great. Suzanne made the whole stay perfect, and breakfast kept us going all day. Would thoroughly recommend this place, which offered exceptional value for money. Thanks Suzanne, we WILL be... More

Suzanne was a hospitable, happy, and helpful host--which made our stay quite pleasant. As to accommodations, this is closer to a hostel or clean, respectable entry-level motel; furnishing spartan, beds single mattress on wire frames, and rooms quite plain. It is a wee bit off the beaten path, but right handy to a glorious trail system that is well worth... More

We stopped a night on the way to Inverness. Our sat nav had problems finding the place - take a tip from us, ignore the sat nav and read the road signs! The rooms was good value and a hearty breakfast was included. Suzanne met us at the door and nothing was too much trouble for her. The dining room/lounge... More

The Lodge is good for bikers/walkers/hikers and if you want a straightforward, no frills stay the Lodge is ideal. I wouldn't call it a guest house, it has more of a hostel feel. The walls were very thin - take ear plugs if you don't want to hear the conversations in the lounge or the guests next door when you... More

Clunebeg Lodge is located up on the hill above the town of Drumnadrochit. A stones throw from the Loch Ness Inn (if you're hungry o thirsty) and a short drive from Urquhart Castle on the shore of Loch Ness (probably the most scenic place to take photos and get a glimpse of Nessie). The lodge is a large house, separated... More

We were a bit dumbfounded to be asked to pay for our 1 nights B&B when we arrived, having only ever paid on checking out before. However Clunebeg Lodge is very well appointed and the free wifi was very fast and I was able to very quickly up-date my phone and netbook. Sound proofing is really quite poor between the... More
