We were impressed by the quality of the room and the little extra touches supplied. We loved the location as it was so peaceful which made it easy to relax. We were within walking distance of a few hotels and eating places so it was simple to find somewhere for dinner (and a drink or two). The next morning the... more

This place was superb. Excellent location for Loch Ness, literally a mile or less from the main villagey part of Drumnadrochit. The house is beautiful with ample parking on the drive. We stayed in a double ensuite which was beautiful. Very clean, very spacious, beautifully decorated, etc. Both the room and bathroom were immaculate. The owner, Liz, was lovely and... more

We stayed at Woodlands with the new owners and in fact we were their first customers! They did a great job - the room was immaculate and cosy, the breakfast fantatsic, and the hostess was absolutely lovely. One of our nicest stays during our 10 week round-the-world trip. Drumnadrochit is a great spot, Urqhart Castle and Loch Ness are stunning.... more

'Twas a special stay. Our hosts were very kind and they welcomed us with a excellent cup of tea with biscuit. Mr Peter is a source of information and you can ask him everything and he checks and tell you the answer! The rooms were very comfortable and with a reasonable price (we book 1 single room and 1 double... more

We recommend this guest house only if you wish to be spoilt rotten by the superb hosts Roy & Alison. Having travelled fairly extensively we can honestly say we have never encountered such a welcome as we received at Woodlands. The setting is lovely, the gardens beautiful, the house itself absolutely immaculate. The attention to detail is clear to see... more

This is quite simply the best guest house I have ever stayed in. The level of cleanliness, the standard of service, the breakfast menu and the wonderful welcome from Roy and Alison make you think you are in a Five Star hotel! The rooms are immaculate and have just about everything you may want provided. Only eat the full Scottish... more

My mum and I stayed here on our 'grand tour of Scotland' in May, and really enjoyed our stay, even though it was just one night. Roy and Alison were very welcoming (the cup of tea and shortbread on arrival was just the best greeting we have had!), the room was excellent (we stayed in Skye) and the breakfast was... more

We were only at Woodlands for one night as a stopover on our way home from further north, but we very much enjoyed our stay. The room was immaculate, breakfast was excellent and Roy and Alison were very friendly and welcoming. Would thoroughly reccommend Woodlands to anyone thinking of staying in Drum. more
