Having just returned from the Benleva we are already checking our diaries to book our next visit. Being dog-lovers and taking a young labrador on his first weekend break we were understandably nervous about the experience we would have. The staff (and locals!) could not have done more to put our minds at ease. My wife, the dogs and I... More

back at The Ben again, two nights, Steve and the gang were as always just brilliant, good beer, good banter, shining wit and hearty breakfasts, good basic fun stay as always, thanks people I will return!!

This hotel is attached to a pub and it used to have a brewery as well, but with the growth for their beers, they now brew at a very close by location. We added a stop at the Benleva Hotel to our itinerary and contacted them a few months before we went, it was only season, but since they only... More

The area around Benleva is beyond beautiful, my very first time in Scotland. The hotel itself is situated in a residential area, and as you drive in the ominous "Hanging Tree" is there to greet it's guests. The room was very comfy and clean and the shower was good. The food at the hotel is simply amazing, hearty, warming, stick... More

Stayed in September for the beer festival and again in October for a short break, this hotel is a regular "second home" and we consider ourselves semi locals as we visit so often. The hotel is undergoing lots of changes, not least with its relatively new brewery going from strength to strength, supplying the bar with ever changing craft beers.... More

Just had another fantastic stay at the Benleva. We've stayed here so many times I've lost count and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Over the years they are always making small improvements, this year our room had been redecorated, it's nice that they keep trying to make improvements and don't just sit back on their laurels. All the beers at... More

Had a nice dinner at the Benleva recommended by our B&B host. Hubby really liked the local dark ale, appropriately called DarkNess :) Local cider was also worth a try. Food was good, decent portions and quickly served. Atmosphere was nice and seemed to be frequented more by locals than tourists. Well priced. Would recommend :)

We stayed at the Benleva whilst walking The Great Glen Way. Although it was a little out of the way from the route it had come recommended. The room was a decent size and the shower room quite adequate compared to the "converted cupboards" we experienced at other stops. We went down to the bar before dinner and my husband... More

The only reason not to give this 5 stars is that there are so many great budget options in the Highlands and the rooms at the Benleva are quite average. However, the staff are the friendliest we have met - we told one of them we were enjoying the book we had found in their library and he immediately gave... More

This is a great place to go and stay where you will get a really friendly welcome from Steve, Alan and their team, who will look after you very well. It is very clean, comfortable and homely, but don't expect it to be plush or posh. The food is good and they have their own brewery, the Loch Ness Brewery,... More
