This hotel is more like a super luxury b&b rather a proper full service hotel. The location and the atmosphere are super, breakfast very good and well-presented. Scott, the owner and manager of the hotel is super friendly and always very responding. However, if you expect a hotel full of services and facilities, this is not your place. If you... More

We stayed for three nights 15/18 August and enjoyed ourselves immensely. I agree there was a slight dampish odour on arrival - but with millions of gallons of Loch Ness water on your doorstep, this is certainly not a dry area. That apart, our room and the building was immaculate and very comfortable. People seem to be having a moan... More

We spent one night there in July 2015. It's a great spot for visiting Loch Ness and not too far from Inverness. The hotel looks very charming from the outside and the foyer, bar and restaurant were very warm and cosy with lots of tartan. We were a bit disappointed, however, to find the room was in need of a... We arrived in the late afternoon and were welcomed warmly. Our room was well furnished and set out with everything that we needed. The bathroom was very clean and had a very traditional feel. The wifi was poor except for in the bar and restaurant, but that wasn't a problem for us. A point to mention is that nice cups... More

I was backpacking in Scotland and decided to spend the night in Lochness Lodge. It was pretty decent hotel. The location was very close to river. The restaurant/bar was quite good. The staffs in the bar were very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. But i was a bit unhappy with rooms for the amount of money I payed.... More

Stayed here with my partner and the in-laws who were visiting the Highlands for the first time. Hotel looked great online however, in real life, the rooms were very dated. Despite booking together, we were put at totally opposite ends of the hotel. Telephone in one room but not the other and with bad mobile reception, this was a bit... More

Where do I start? Unable to check in till 3pm, so we were kicking our heels, had a snack in the coffee shop. All ok. Room ok, nice bathroom, but at £89 a night I do not expect paper coffee mugs, plastic spoons etc! Beds comfy and a good sleep, but we're so tired would have slept anywhere. No disabled... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights and must say we really enjoyed ourselves. Our room was fine and checking in was very straightforward. What made our stay was the staff at this hotel. They work hard to make sure your stay is enjoyable. We ate in the restaurant/bar and the food was fantastic , and the service was first class. The... We stayed 1 night, and for £89.00 it was a joke, the room smelt damp, we had paper cups and plastic spoons, instead of proper crockery, and there was no wifi in the room, and the wifi in the bar was useless. Breakfast we OK although my wife had to hang around for beans, so when she eventually joined us,... More

The room I stayed in was smelly and I could here everything that my upstairs neighbours did, which was not pleasant. My room was damp, and had a sales catalogue holding the bathroom exhaust fan in place, the veiw out of the window was of an overgrown garden with a pond that was full of dirty water. Free Wifi did...
