A one night stay with 2 children on a tour around Scotland. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. However, the room decor was a far cry from the photographs on the website. I'm sure other rooms have been more recently decorated than ours, though. We had a fun meal in the restaurant and enjoyed our food, albeit with... More

Clean, family style hotel in a nice, quiet setting. Ample breakfast, as well as a nice bar type lounge. Great place to stay while visiting Loch Ness and the surrounding countryside. Also a jumping off point for the Isle of Skye.

Stayed for a couple of nights in July. Comfortable room. Lovely bar and restaurant. Definitely recommended. Not overly smart, more of an old world charm. Felt staff could have been a bit more accommodating, but it was their peak season.

If a slice of authentic Highland spirit you are after I think this hotel is the one. I stayed here for the second time in 15 years and not much had changed. It has a warm friendly feel to it albeit a bit dated around the edges. It is in a perfect location for exploring Loch Ness and has some... More

Thank you for your review and thank you for coming back again. Isn't the venison great?- we have a fantastic chef who serves up delicious food in our restaurant. You are right Drumnadrochit is perfectly placed to explore the highlands with plenty of beautiful scenery to travel through especially at this time of year with the autumn colours. Nice to... More

I stayed for one night on my own at the Loch Ness Lodge as was taking part in the Loch Ness Marathon the following day. The hotel was just as I wanted and expected, warm, charming and Scottish. The welcome at reception was lovely and I was personally shown to my room. I was given a beautiful room with a... More

Thank you for your lovely review. The only sting in the tail was the breakfast for which I apologise. We have already taken notes about catering to runner for the marathon and if you could contact the hotel by email on reception@lochness-hotel.com with any suggestions on how we can make runners stay better I would be very grateful. It was... More

I stayed for one night with my husband, the hotel is an old building with a traditional charm albeit a bit shabby round the edges. However on entering our room in the orchard wing, we were greeted by a very musty old smell. The room was very dated and looked like it was stuck in a seventies time warp. There... More

A lovely old building and we had a very spacious room with bay window which was charming. There was an issue with hot water in the afternoon, after 5 hours of driving I wanted a shower to freshen up but couldn't as it was ice cold. The barman David is a true asset and made our evening one to remember.... More

My wife and I stayed only for 1 night here on our tour of Scotland. We found the hotel to be rather quaint and cosy. Our room was in the main building above reception and really was rather dated, however it did add to the character of the hotel. Not many guests staying on the night we were there so... More
