My wife and I recently stayed at the Golspie Inn for two nights while I tackled the Highland Wildcat moutain bike track, unfortunately we got the last room which sadly had no shower but the bath was nice and big with plenty hot water, the room was spacious and clean but a bit old fashioned for me (personal taste perhaps)... Doing Land's End to John O'Groats, we were supposed to be stopping in Meikle Ferry, Tain, but me as support got to our accommodation to find we had a room but no water....so at 5 pm had to search.....Luckily 3rd pub/hotel/inn had what we needed a double room (well family room, a double and two single beds) with en-suite. the... I recently had my second visit to the Golspie Inn this summer! I have to say the rooms are fine, yes they could do with some updates but couldn't everywhere? They are ensuite, clean and comfy! I ate at the Bar and restaurant each night, the food was excellent quality, could do with some more chips though! The Bar Manager... More

A warm welcome from the staff who were helpful and friendly throughout the stay. Room 12 was quiet, spacious and clean although in want of some decoration. Comfortable bed. Food from the restaurant menu on the first night was excellent and although not cheap was fairly priced. Food from the bar menu on the second night was good and resonably... More

I stayed for three days in the hotel and thouroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere in the hotel was very warm and friendly and the food was superb. Would recommend the hotel to people and i will certainly stay there again if up in the area. More

Hotel owner is at best unfriendly and at worst down right rude and unhelpful e.g any requests were met with a glare, e.g., could we have an extra pillow, then a gruding compliance. Rooms are very shabby - paper peeling off the walls although clean. Food is good but over priced! My whole family felt very uncomfortable with the bad... More

It is disappointing that you did not enjoy your stay here. It would have fairer to comment on all the staff rather than just the owner. I would be very surprised if the other staff were anything less than accommodating, professional and friendly. As far as our food is concerned, all I can say is that it is excellent value... More

First I stopped here on a Lands End to John O Groats bike ride and it was so good I returned for several days about a month later. Being realistic you are not going to find a 5 star hotel in Golspie but these guys - new management this year I am told - make a really good fist of... More

We were travelling north with our 8 month old baby and stayed here to break our journey. The room we were given was gloomy and in desperate need of refurbishment. Worse still it was too cold for a baby and we had to ask for the heating to be put on. Even when on the central heating produced little heat.... More
