We booked online about 6 months in advance (in February). When we paid, the holder told us that we had to pay 3% more also using the debit card. This is absolutely unfair. Moreover there is no indication of this surcharge in the internet site of the hotel, differently from other B/B were we stayed in our holidays in Scotland... more

A group of 6 golfers stayed 4 nights at this hotel. The hotel is in a lovely location, overlooking the sea and well located for our golf trip (Brora, Golspie, Dornoch). Rooms were good and the hotel comforable. The downsides were the lack of flexibility on breakfast timing which for us meant only cold breakfast when we were playing 2... more

Great location and outlook. Dinner menu was either re-heated from frozen or deep fried. Breakfast was fine. Owner has a dog that seeks attention by barking, and occupying the bar seating. Not everyone's taste in entertainment. more

It should be called Sea View because it's right on the shore - perfect for an evening stroll. It is beautifully quiet, the rooms have everything you will need. There is a flat screen TV and DVD player in the bedrooms and the lounge with a large selection of DVDs to chose from. The owners are welcoming; the bar has... more

Excellent small and friend family run hotel with a fabulous beach view (just across the street). When I visited, it seemed as if it had just been refurbished to a very high standard. Good food (but needs possibly to pay more attention to vegetarian requirements). Otherwise an absolutely excellent stay and good value for money. more

A lovely location on the beach, very clean and well proportioned rooms, ours seemed to have been recently decorated. The owners were very nice and as a small hotel in a small quiet town it serves it's purpose. The gripe we did have however was the food and bar prices. Things were overpriced and the portions much smaller than expected,... more

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Richard and Linda were very warm and friendly. Fudge was cuddly (resident dog/greeter/alarm system) and liked to cuddle up to my husband. Food was excellent, room was nice, with a great view over the water. Don't miss Dunrobin Castle up the road - it was beautiful! Also - if you like whiskey, don't... more

Don't expect 5 star limo luxuary at this hotel, do expect however a very warm welcome, stunning views, peace and quiet. If you are into whisky then you shall be in "top shelf heaven". Log fires, good beers, good food. Overall excellent value for money. more
