Very friendly couple. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable rooms. Lovely location overlooking Loch Eriboll. We were made very welcome by Katie and Donnie. Laid is about 15 minutes from Durness and the scenery is outstanding.

I can't recommend this B&B enough, I arrived late without booking and Kate & Donnie very kindly let me store my bike in their garage and gave me a room. The hospitality was second to none, very lovely couple and a fantastic home with amazing views over the loch. Thank you Kate for your generosity and kindness, just so you... More

I have not stayed at the B&B but Donny from there went out of his way to help me when i crashed my car close to Laid. He and his friends very kindly rescued my car from the bog without making me feel a complete idiot for missing the bend on the single track road! I am not surprised to... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at this B&B in August for one night. We arrived quite late in the evening after having dinner in Durness as Katie had told us there was nowhere to eat near the bed and bed breakfast. This cosy B&B is in a stunning and peaceful position near the Loch. Katie welcomed us into her home... More

With amazing views on Loch Eriboll, the B&B is conveniently located in a quiet and remote area (that's what you look for when you make it as far as Durness), a few miles drive from the village. Cosy and clean room on the rather small side, shower with low water pressure, but everything was OK and we slept like logs.... More

We arrived at Glenaladale after first eating dinner in Durness and calling to say we would arrive late. Katie welcomed us warmly and showed us to our room which had stunning views over Loch Eriboll. We walked to the lakeshore and watched the setting sun light up Ben Hope - a magical experience. We then slept with the curtains open... More

This b and b is in the middle of nowhere and it is heavenly. The setting is just amazing and the view from our room was breathtaking. The room itself was fine, clean and big enough and breakfast was lovely. Katie was lovely also. A delightful stop.

We stayed with Katie and Donnie near Durness after a long ferry trip and then drive from Ullapool (for the record poor Caladonian MacBridge should say: ferry is meant to depart and arrive but we make allowances for cretins who can't drive on and off a ferry). We ran late and Katie was happy for us to eat in Durness... More

First of all you have to be aware that you have to drive some minutes to get to Durness or any point of interest which was absolutely okay for us. You don't visit the very north of Scotland and expect high life. Instead we were rewarded with beautiful loch views and a cosy room at friendly hosts. We only stayed... More

I had a very peaceful and comfortable nights stay at Glenaladale, with a tremendously warm reception from Katie and Donnie. The B&B is perfectly kept, and the views are unbelievable, which adds to the quality of the stay.
