Our room was quite large, with a small bathroom attached. There was a tv, and tea and coffee making facilities, and everything was very clean. Breakfast was superb, we ate far too much! The Glengolly yoghurt and muesli special is highly recommended, but maybe you don't need to follow it with a large full-English (Scottish). The couple who own the... More

We stayed here in August 2014 having completed the Cape Wrath Trail. Martin is the most lovely man - gentle, kind, quiet, perhaps slightly shy. The room was beautifully furnished - lovely cushions, warm, snug and cosy. One great thing is the breakfast - go for the porridge with a dash of whisky to set you up for the day;... More

We have recently returned home having spent a very enjoyable time with Mary and Martin. As this was our 17th visit (starting in 1995) you can believe that Glengolly isa favourite B&B for us. We have always been well looked after, nothing is too much trouble for them. The accomodation and breakfast are first class (especially the whisky porridge !).... More

A warm welcome from Martin and one of his dogs on the back of a quad bike saw us arrive at Glengolly. A comfortable room with en-suite and a great breakfast the following morning to set us of for the day. Anyone thinking of staying at Durness would not go wrong to book Glengolly. Highly recommended.

Glengolly is a lovely house where everything is immaculate and spotless. Ample parking, Mary is brilliant and the breakfasts are both very well cooked, perfectly presented and plentiful. BUT this is a working croft and the privilege of being allowed to accompany Martin to watch his dogs working was out of this world. I have personally taught obedience (Crufts qualifier)... More

It was a cold day or two and it was good to get to Glengolly which was comfortably warm with neat, tidy and clean rooms which were tastefully decorated - felt like a home. Extensive breakfast menu. Marty showed us his sheep dogs and how they work. Great stay.

We stayed here one night, Martin was really welcoming, the rooms are small but pretty, comfortable and warm. The breakfast, a special porridge with whisk, was awesome! Glengolly is a perfect place to stay in Durness.

Our host Martin met us at our car and helped carry our bags up to the room. We had a double room with ensuite facilities. The room was simple but clean and with everything you would need for a few nights stay. The view from the room was lovely and I enjoyed sitting in the window seat looking over to... More

The people here were outstanding in helping 6 of us find accommodation, my husband and myself stayed here and at first I was disappointed in the facilities and room appointments but it didn't take me long to realise how fortunate we were to experience living in a working cottage were besides us the next important thing were the working dogs.... When you check in to this B&B, you will get the chance to see the owner's dogs in action rounding up the sheep! This is a working croft and Martin, the owner, is proud to share his passion. Not all rooms are en suite, the twin room will be a shared bathroom. The breakfast Is excellent, freshly cooked to order.... More
