Stayed here last night, 4.12.15, and it was just perfect. Karen makes you feel really welcome from the moment you get out if your car - as do the hens and Ruby, the puppy. It was home from home with a lovely cosy bedroom with stunning views. As the sky was clear we had a breathtaking view of the stars... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here in August for 3 nights. Our room was very clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated with a wonderful view. Karen was absolutely lovely and really went the extra mile for us during our stay (particularly when we lost our car keys on a walk!) Her 3 children were friendly and perfectly behaved, and breakfast and... More

My partner and I are doing the NC500 and stayed here for a night. We were given a warm welcome by Karen and her wee pup. In the evening Kevan gave us the heads up about the Northern lights being on show, it's the 1st time I have seen them and I managed to get some amazing photos. Our room... More

My boyfriend and I are doing the NC500 and tried to pitch in Scourie, much to our dismay our tent got soaked and Durness was our next stop. We decided to head on and see what we can find. We tried 3 bnb's and a youth hostel before Karen answered her phone and gave us refuge. She even took our... More

We booked at Bae Sarens for two nights with a view that it was a centrally located base to go and explore, and what an amazing trip we had! Our hosts, Kevan and Karen, were absolutely brilliant: so welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable. Without their local knowledge, we would have missed some amazing things to see in the Durness area. We... More

Bae Seren is a brilliant B&B, that is more than just a B&B, it is a home away from home. The hospitality and kindness from Kevan and Karen start the moment you book. From arrival to departure you are treated as a friend of the house and we felt so comfortable and relaxed. Our room was lovely, spacious and immaculate,... More

Bae Seren is one of those guest houses where you can relax totally and feel you're staying in a relatives home! Karen is very welcoming. The room was very comfortable with stunning views from the window. The house is in a peaceful location and only about 10 minutes walk to the village and the stunning beaches the area has to... More

Stopped for two nights as I wanted to cross Durness of the list , satnav could not find it , which is a first but once I landed I was greeted to a very warm welcome, the room was very nice and the bathroom was excellent. Now there's not a lot to do in Durness so a television in my... More

My wife and I spent one night at this very comfortable B & B. We were made very welcome by our hosts and made us feel very much at home. Our ensuite room was very comfortable and the use of the lounge room made it feel like home away from home. We were served with a very good breakfast which... More

Stayed here for one night on a cycling trip. Our accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The room had great views and was close (walking distance) to Smoo cave which is a "must see". The B&B has large grounds with ample parking space for those travelling by car. We left our bikes out overnight without fear of theft. The breakfast... More
