A beautifully furnished room and a very warm welcome to ourselves and our dog :) The B+B is in an excellent location 5 minutes from a lovely beach and 5 mintues the other way from the town centre with its shops retaurants and pubs. Well deserving the 5 stars that we rarely give, highly recommend. Thank you Marelle and Edward.

Marelle and Edward know how to make their guests feel at home. We stayed there during the Carnegie Shield, and they were terrific hosts. Marelle and Edward go out of their way to make sure their guests have a great experience in Dornoch. The breakfasts were delicious and hearty, and just the way to start a busy day. The accomodations... More

Trey, it was a privilege to have your company this year. Every morning at breakfast was such fun, and we were excited for you as you progressed to the final of the Shield. A big sincere 'thanks' for your kind words, and for staying with us! Marelle More

I have stayed at the Amalfi with Marelle and Edward several times. I had to change my timing this year but remained determined to make my regular visit. Marelle and Edward are perfect hosts; they are friendly and considerate and their mix of backgrounds and interests registers positively with a varied range of guests. All of the rooms I have... More

Our hostess, Marelle, and her husband Edward, are delightful! We stayed during the Carnegie Shield tournament and could not have felt more welcome and at home! They were helpful and even though we had been to Dornoch several time, they introduced us to new places. The ensuite rooms are comfortable and large and the breakfast every morning is over the... Marelle and Edward made my three night golfing stay in Dornoch truly memorable. They are engaging, interesting (and interested) people and went way above and beyond what could ever be expected of B&B hosts. I was treated like a close friend. It goes without saying that the accommodation and breakfasts (Edward even learned how to make me an Aussie 'flat... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Marelle and Edward's lovely home in which they made us most welcome. The accommodation was first class in every way with every facility that the traveller could want. We much enjoyed too stimulating conversation on many subjects, one of us being a native Californian, like Edward. The Amalfi is just a short walk from... More

I wish I could say how many times I have stayed at Amalfi in Dornoch, but my best guess would be 10-15 times. I am a member of the magnificent links at Royal Dornoch and this accommodation is just a three wood away from the first tee. The house is also just 400 meters from the center of town and... More

This was my second stay at the Amalfi. Marelle and Edward are wonderful hosts. The beds are very comfortable, the shower is always hot and the wifi is great. The breakfast is perfect and they are flexible with breakfast schedule to work around your tee time. I can't wait to get back.

Marelle and Edward were the kindest hosts for our brief visit to their shore. Amalfi offered the sort of B&B we were looking for and then some, with personal touches all around, a robust breakfast and pleasant conversation, and Merelle drying out our things for us after we got caught out in the rain. Very nice people and good B&B... More
