We stayed here after coming down from the North coast and had a very warm welcome from the manager who showed us to our room. The room was very clean, tidy and cosy and the shared bathroom was extremely clean and modern looking. We were very impressed with our dinner in the restaurant below, which was very tasty and reasonably... More

we holiday in the Dornoch area every year and always visit the Trentham for a meal. On the last visit I had home made soup and then sampled the trout which was excellent and my husband had a steak which he commented was one of the best he had ever had. The staff are lovely here, and this place is... More

Returned again for a big family dinner. The place was rammed but the service was still good. Once again we had excellent food, friendly staff and good beer. Great value. Would recommend the fish and chips and the sweet and sour chicken. What's not to like?

Advised staff & manager / owner of the issue but they were not particularly interested. Just not an enjoyable experience. I wouldn't say the restaurant was dirty but there was a feeling of... More

I have been to the Trentham a few times over the last few months and im never dissapointed. The waiting staff are brilliant and see your comfortable and happy during your entire stay, particularly one young man who I found exceptionally attentive. Food gets from the kitchen to the table very quickly considering how busy it is and it's worth... More

An extended family group of 15 of us descended on the Trentham after a days fishing on the Helmsdale. The service was fantasttic, all 15 meals arriving at the same time and piping hot too. Onion ring stack was a memorable starter. We all thought the food was outstanding, steaks, fish and chips and child portion macaroni cheese all recommended as... More

Stopped into the Trentham Hotel on spec to have some lunch last week en route home from some random adventures. Despite being closed, the owner didn't 'turn us away' and fed us with some good wholesome Scottish fare. Not only this, they catered for my "Slimming World" needs... Fantastic stuff...

I came in with my family for a Mothers Day meal yesterday and the food was great! A lovely, charming Gentleman behind the bar and the young waiting staff were very attentive and polite, a definite recommendation!
