We made a last minute booking at this hotel and were pleasantly surprised. Very easy to find the hotel only 1 hour drive from Inverness. When we arrived we were greeted warmly by a young gentleman who showed us up to our room. Beautiful huge bedroom we stayed in room 1. It was finished with nice Scottish touches and pink... More

4 of us were booked in for a golf trip overnight stay. We all thought it was great. Amazing staff, really friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and very spacious, really nice style throughout. Breakfast was outstanding! Local and fresh produce including home made jams. Can't fault the place at all! We really enjoyed it. Would love to go... More

Beautiful large room in a peaceful part of the hotel. I slept so well when my head hit the pillow that I overslept in the morning. Had to rush my breakfast which was a pity as it was delicious. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We drove past the hotel and decided to take a look, although there was no sign inviting 'Non residents welcome'. Having spoken with a very helpful receptionist who told us that is was a training hotel, we decided to book dinner that night. We arrived and welcomed by the same member of staff and shown to the restaurant. The room... More

We had Sunday lunch at Burghfield House Hotel a few weeks - it was superb. All three of us had different dishes from the menu on offer - all really good. The service was a bit slow but we really couldn't fault the quality. Much enjoyed and we will return!

We stayed at the Burghfield House Hotel as part of a road trip to Sutherland via Inverness-shire. First things first. This is a hotel operated by students studying the ins and outs of hospitality management, catering, fine dining, etc. at the local college / university. The students fulfill various aspects of the hotel operation and each cuts their teeth at... More

This is the second visit for an Afternoon Tea. Thoroughly enjoyed both visits in very nice surroundings. This is a training establishment and I have always found the young workers very pleasant and efficient. The selection of sandwiches and cakes are well presented on a cake stand, they are all homemade and taste delicious. I will certainly be back, hopefully... More

We had an evening meal one of the nights and the portion sizes were good and the quality and choice available left everyone happy. I would for defo return to this hotel in... More

Having just spent five days at the Burghfield we can not speak too highly of it. The room was spacious with a large comfortable double bed and spotlessly clean. It was cleaned and tidied thoroughly every day. One dinner on the Friday night was extremely good as were the breakfasts. The service was always efficient and cheerfully carried out. Would... More

We stayed three nights at Burghfield House, and were very pleased with all aspects of our stay. Our room was huge, with a comfortable, king-sized bed - not an easy thing to find in England. Yes, service was a bit spotty in places - these are students learning their trade - but if we mentioned a problem it was immediately... More
