After a very long drive in April through all seasons of weather....!!! it was a great comfort to arrive at the hotel and get to our room. The room had spectacular views out over Badcall bay to the sea and was warm and "cosy"........room facilities were good and beds were comfortable.....the evening meal was excellent, a fantastic choice of seafood... Rooms ageing a wee bitty. But room 10 has a great view, as is the view from the restaurant and bar/lounge area. Super food once again and also bought some more of the 'Highland Charcuterie Produce' that we bought at the stall at 'Moy Fair' two days previous (Made at the hotel). Also has an excellent drying room (Really dries... More

Stayed 3 nights. Location beautiful & quiet plus ideal for Handa Island trip. Food good, Wine list very good, Proprietor friendly, Operations efficient, Room comfortable & clean, Breakfasts excellent. Midges a nuisance in August but only outside. Mobile phone signal ok at end of car park. Internet/broadband very slow indeed & only available in bar lounge & lobby. Dining room... More

Went with four friends for Sunday lunch, beautiful setting overlooking Eddrachiles Bay, food excellent, wine excellent, company excellent, what else could you want? Highly recommended, for a relaxed and quality lunch.

The individual booking our stay got the days wrong by an entire month and was not very pleasant when we tried to straighten it out. He accused us of costing him money when we didn't arrive on the days he booked incorrectly. The beds are hard and rooms not very large if should have a couple of suitcases. For what... More

Sorry you seem to be mistaken, I sent you a confirmation for the dates of your arrival, you responded saying you look forward to your stay (2 double rooms for 2 days). On the date of the confirmation, you did not turn up, the hotel was full. I did not charge you for this but re-booked for the following month.... More

We had driven across the top of Scotland from the Orkney Ferry at Gills Bay to the pre booked Eddrachilles Hotel. Stunning scenery on the way and my wife and I looked forward to our overnight stay. My initial impression was 'dark and dated'. My wife liked it straight away. It didn't take long for me to come round to... More

The most affordable option is DBB, which is served in the conservatory at the back of the hotel with great views. We were told the dinner menu was changed daily and all cooked to order; honestly the food was excellent. Consequently, expectations were high for breakfast, but we were disappointed to find it was buffet style and not cooked to... More

We are happy you enjoyed your dinner, sorry you did not like breakfast or your bed. As for the WIfi, we are in the North West coast of Scotland, 3 miles from the nearest village, the broadband here from BT is 400 megs at its best, if we put wifi in the rooms it would stop dead as soon as... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in June and loved it. We had booked the DBB rate and were not disappointed by the food which was excellent. Dinner is served in the conservatory which has lovely views. The owner is very knowledgeable about the local area, and even more knowledgeable about whisky! The bar is very well stocked, and he is... More

Beautiful location with fantastic view over the bay. The owner/manager is welcoming and ensured our 3 night stay at the hotel was comfortable and relaxing. His wife is the Chef and the evening meals were superb. A menu choice which varies every day the food was wonderful - she should enter for BBC's Masterchef. The waiting staff are friendly and...
