We had a fantastic stay at the Achray House Hotel. Service was 1st class, from being shown personally to our room to tips for walks around the local area and even a 2:1 voucher to the Famous Grouse Distillery. Location - 2nd to none, fabulous location right on Loch Earn, the Autumn colours were magnificent Food - Saved the best... More

If you want to savour this beautiful part of Scotland then the Achray House Hotel is ideal. Comfortable, appealing, great menu and friendly service. Our room overlooked the loch and I could have sat there all day taking in the scenery. As part of our booking we had the taster menu alongwith reasonably priced wine and a trio of malt... More

This hotel is a typical converted traditional Scottish Victorian building with more modern extensions. It sits in the pretty village of St Fillans on the shores of Loch Earn. Like a lot of such buildings, what it gains in charm it loses in efficiency, but that's just the way it is! It is a bit random inside and the rooms... More

An itison voucher tempted me to book a one night stay here, with the appeal of a Taster Menu. That sounded just as tempting as a return visit to St Fillan's, as we have stayed once before, but in a different hotel. We travelled from a previous night's stay in Ballachulish, and had a pretty rainy journey, but the rain... More

Thanks for your generous review, and I'm pleased you enjoyed your evening. We are a small hotel of only eight bedrooms, so full for us is sixteen people, which makes for a ore intimate environment than larger establishments . I'm sorry you felt a little uncomfortable with only a dozen of you in the restaurant: we do have background music... More

Jus had a two night stay with breakfast. Food was very good. Very pieceful and relaxing break. Very warm and cosy room overlooking the loch. Have stayed on the loch before but normally in a caravan. Would recommend the lovely hotel as owners very friendly and welcoming . Very nice place to stay.

Just spent 2 very comfortable nights with excellent food. The staff were very friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. Hotel could not be in a more picturesque setting with plenty of car parking available at the hotel.

Stayed one night for Dinner Bed & Breakfast in this charming small hotel overlooking Loch Earn. Our room overlooking the Loch was very clean, warm and the bed was very comfortable. Our Evening Meal taken in the lovely Dining Room overlooking Loch Earn was delicious, there was a choice between a Set Menu or a Bar Meal, which we decided... More

Stayed in St Fillans at the end of July as part of a trip to Scotland to see the Commonwealth Games. Overall very impressed - friendly staff who were never too busy to have a chat and give us advice on the local attractions / surroundings and lovely big rooms complete with wifi (although a bit hit and miss depending... Thanks for your review. Your description of the village as having infrequent buses and no large shops or restaurants is indeed right. We are a rural village at the start of the Scottish Highlands, so obviously in common with other similar places we don't have the facilities found in more populated places: that is much of the charm of the... We have stayed in the lodges at Achray on a couple of occasions. They really are a home from home with everything you need for a great break. We chose the lodges as we have a dog who we tend to take with us when we visit Scotland and the area is absolutely brilliant for walking. In terms of geography... More
