We got this B&B in Crieff recommended when visiting the Famous Grouse Destillery, and we stayed one night on our road trip of Scotland and England. It was a super charming and nice place to stay, and our "host" - Michael - was the best! As a tourist you've heard of the charm of bed&breakfasts, and this one stay stands... More

Michael the proprietor is a great character and so interested in, and welcoming to, all his guests. Although this charming and comfortable old Victorian House is on a main road, it is set back from the road and thanks to modern double glazing in our room to the front (the Rob Roy Macgregor room, advertised on the website as the... We had 6 nights at the James cottage. Staying in the Robert Burns room at the back of this 200 year old gem. The highlight without doubt was the charming and well informed host Michael, who made sure everything was perfect. Clean tidy rooms fresh towels alternative days and a breakfast fit for a king. A great advert for the... More

A lovely gem! I have to say, certainly one of the most comfortable, pleasant, relaxing and utterly delightful guest houses I have ever stayed at (and I travel a lot!). Michael is the most charming host, making everyone feel welcome and comfortable, with great attention to the details. Breakfasts are generous and perfectly prepared, the accommodations are quiet and superbly... More

James Cottage is perfect; from the moment we arrived to departure time we felt welcome and comfortable; our room and facilities were everything we needed and the whole experience was tremendous value for money. One of the friendliest places I've ever stayed.

We stay here every year when we visit Crieff which in a way says every thing. It is only a small place with 4 rooms but Micheal is a great host and his breakfasts are fabulous. Unfortunately he has no parking facilities but you can park right outside on the road as there are no restrictions. The facilities are all... More

this is a great guest house to stay at in Crieff. Michael is a perfect host and makes everyone feel at home. The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast was great and very filling. We will definitely return for another stay. I could recommend James Cottage to anyone.

A shame trip advisor has only five stars! Michael is as fantastic as his rooms and breakfast. Clean, friendly, wise, and helpful. Just GO there! I was there with my son Pippo (17 - " Dad, I will came back here for my honeymoon") and Cecilia (11, "Michael is the grandfather I always wished).

Had a great time staying here. Everything was very clean and Michael Lynch was a great host! The food was spectacular every morning. The bedrooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. It is truly a gem of place to stay at. If you are a golfer (as I am) you will appreciate staying here as Micheal is a serious golfer and... More
