We wanted to buy a B&B business in Scotland and went to Crieff to view one we'd seen on Bruce & Co's website. We stayed at Comely Bank because it was on the same road. Marion and her husband, the owners were so friendly and helpful even though we could potentially become their rivals! Even suggesting we view another property for sale when we decided the one we viewed wasn't for us. It turned out neither was right for us and we eventually purchased a beautiful B&B called Baytree House in the pretty harbour town of Kirkcudbright (highly rated on this site!). Sorry couldn't resist a plug! Anyway, Comely Bank was an inspiration to us. It has a really homely atmosphere, the room we stayed in was gorgeous and very spacious with big armchairs and a fridge! The fridge was very handy as my husband is diabetic and needs to store his insulin in a cool place. Plus we could keep our bottled water chilled.
