All good but more families about than couple's. Lots to do in the local area. Beautiful views from the campsite and a friendly and helpful young lady at reception. The drinking water tap in the top field ran out of water (a little boy used the last of the tank to make a puddle and splashing in it while his... More

Camped here for the weekend with our young children. The campsite is in a wonderful location with great views and way-marked trails the owners have put in are excellent. The site is great for children who can explore to their hearts content. The facilities are pretty basics; simple pitches in the woods and on a meadow, the toilets and washing... More

Top class amenities for a campsite although no electric hookups at the pitches if you need it. Weather was alternating torrential rain and blazing hot sun, but the kids had an absolute ball. Will definitely be back as it's almost bang on half way between Edinburgh and Glasgow. On site camp shop and bike shop and there was a wedding... More

We're just back from an amazing break waking up to fantastic views every morning! This is the friendliest campsite I've ever stayed at and is a perfect break away from it all. We stayed on the high meadow which was a great peaceful location and even though the campsite was full, it didn't feel at all crowded. Weather was pretty... More

Excellent spot in the high meadow. Amazing views over the countryside. We didn't use the bike tracks but they were well used by kids and adults alike, just good fun to watch. Compost toilets were fine but the short walk to the flushing toilets and showers was not far. Very helpful staff and great site. I would recommend for family's,... More

Lovely woodland camping, kids loved the freedom and getting back to nature. The closest you can get to wild camping but still have amenities, essential for young kids. Having the fire pit for cooking and keeping warm on an evening was lovely. Been fwo times now and most certainky will be back again.

Have stayed here a total of 3 times now and will be back again. We have tried the Kata's which are amazing and very warm even in October. We also camped in the woodland area which my kids love the best. Its hard to find a campsite as clean and friendly as this one that also allows campfires. Our latest... More

Stayed in one of the katas last night with our 2 kids. Amazing experience. Perfect setting (even though it was little overcast), especilly sleeping and cooking inside dense forest full of birds and other beasties and the hills with views for miles. The kata was very comfy. You really do only need sleeping bags as the croft provides high quality... More

We camped here during a cold spell in June, so we took advantage of all of this campsite's amenities in its heated, WiFi equipped main building, which includes a store, a nice cafe, bathrooms with hot showers, and many smaller amenities (like rentable lockers with outlets inside). The location is amazing too, in a beautiful forested valley with many walking... More

Visited on the Weekend of the 6th June to attend a friends wedding. We arrived for a hog roast on the Friday night and we were made to feel so welcome. Everyone pitched in to make the venue wedding ready for the next day. On Saturday although very rainy, the wedding went without a hitch. The venue was beautiful and... More
