Worth every penny though. Went for a 3 day golf break to sample the Ryder cup buzz. PGA course is a big Jack Nicklaus US style monster and although the feature it is by no means the nicest SS 77 v par 71 off the looney tees (leave them to the scratch players). Much preferred the Kings course with wonderfull... More

Yet again, we had a wonderful 4 night break at Gleneagles....although, I feel a few things do need to be pointed out. Pros: -The Easter activities for children were fantastic this year, a huge improvement to last year. -Dinner at Andrew Fairlie was quite possibly the best meal I have ever had. Such a fabulous experience. -The staff - certain... More

Having spent £5 million on their spa and wet leisure area, Gleneagles Hotel has one of the finest swimming areas of any hotel in the UK. There is a separate adult swimming pool for guests who want to swim laps. My 5 year old nephew thought the pool area was awesome. Well staffed, plenty of towels, great facilities. Stayed in... More

An excellent one night stay in a sovereign room. Breakfast was a little disappointing in that the buffet wasn't replenished quickly. Dining room was very warm with sun shining in through conservatory. A lovely spot to relax though and enjoy this part of Scotland. Would return.

Stayed one night, in estate room, which was very lovely, facing the front of the property the views were stunning! Could not faulty the hotel, the staff or anything else for that matter, dined at the Dormy clubhouse and had a fantastic night of food and wine! The club facilities are also excellent and so relaxing, can't wait to go... More

My first ever spa weekend and I was well and truly spoilt. Staff are so polite and helpful, nothing is too much effort heather in spa or hotel. From the minute you walk through the doors you know you are in for a treat. You just want to stand still and take it all in. Decorated to a very very... More

The hotel's beauty and its historical value are simply too vast to explain in a few lines. Golf aside, Gleneagles is one place that you just need to include in the "Top 100 things to do before you die". Rooms are obsessively cleaned! The food is not "out of this world" delicious," but the oysters and the salmon, oh la... More

We have just returned from a trip to Auchterarder. It was my 30th birthday on Thursday and we decided to spend the day at Gleneagles. We had sandwiches in the bar washed down with a beautiful bottle of champagne. When the lunch was ordered we were served with little "nibbles" which included olives, nuts and crisps, a lovely touch. Although... More

This was our second stay at Gleneagles and once again it didn't disappoint. The staff are wonderful and the hotel has a charm all of its own. There is no tartan twee, over the top fussiness, this is a hotel confident in itself to produce the goods. Little things like the hand written card and small ESPA box wishing my... More

Returned to Gleneagles for the fourth time at the weekend. On the third visit we'd felt a few little things weren't quite right - perhaps down to us staying during a particularly busy time with it being Valentine's weekend as well as the school hols - but although we were told the hotel was fully booked this weekend it was...
