We had a very good stay here earlier this year though I couldnt get over how vast it was! We have a small boy so we liked how family friendly it was and the new restaurant was perfect for us. We didn't try the other hotel restaurant but we did have dinner in Andrew Fairlie which was fantastic. I think... more

Eight of us went to Gleneagles on a golfers package, 2 rounds of golf, ! nights bed and breakfast. Arrived at the hotel, met by a very friendly receptionist who was very efficient and friendly. The room was very comfortable, even though there was no heating on in the room it was very warm. We didn't eat at the hotel... more

My boyfriend and I came for a visit here and we got a WORST service I have ever had. The food was mediocre and the coffees were not even wam. The waitresses in my opinion needs more training, we were very polite and I dunno whether because we were young or what, but it wouldnt have hurt to break a... more

I have stayed at Gleneagles Hotel a number of times and never got round to writing a review. In my opinion this Hotel shows Scotland at its best. From the minute you drive through the main gates its like entering a different world. The location and scenery is breathtaking and if you are a golfer there is no better place.... more

Stayed here for 2 nights in March for a special rate of £190 per night plus a mere £35 per night supplement for the dog. The room (Sovereign) was not particularly big and rather cluttered. On the first night we made the mistake of dining in the Michelin starred Andrew Fairlie restaurant which was absolutely nothing to write home about... more

We stayed for the weekend at Gleneagles at the end of our honeymoon in Scotland. We had a wonderful stay and found all of the staff to be very helpful. We had a room upgrade and champagne on arrival which made a lovely touch. We had an afternoon fly fishing on our own with a Ghillie which was great fun... more

I was lucky enough to be staying at the hotel on business but was a bit worried that as I don't play golf, I may be bored. This was not a problem at all. The hotel has a wide variety of activities on site, the falconry and gundog school are excellent and if you are interested in that sort of... more

My wife and I were given a voucher for Sunday lunch for 2 as a gift, and I am glad that we didn't have to pay! ~We went on our anniversary to the Strahtearn Restaurant in April 2008, and it was pretty quiet, half empty, so the atmosphere was that of an old folks' home. Food was good, apart from... more

As four Pisceans, we chose to celebrate this year's joint birthdays at Gleneagles. Our rooms were beautifully decorated, very spacious and with lovely views over the front entrance. The recently opened Spa was a spectacular high light, as was the clay pigeon shooting, which was more fun than any of us could have imagined. All four thought our main dinner... more

My partner and I stayed at Gleneagles for a couple of nights over the Easter weekend. What a fantastic place!! Yes it’s very expensive but for a treat is worth every penny. The hotel is completely unpretentious. The staff are professional and courteous but not too formal - friendly and chatty and happy to have a laugh. The entrance is... more
