My husband and I recently went to Gleneagles to celebrate our anniversary and for him to attend a conference. The hotel was in good shape, and we had a traditional-style room in the mail building. No complaints with the room, and the daily maid service did an excellent job. We're American, so it was nice that they had an electrical... more

This is a very grand stately hotel that on first impressions is very plush and pricey. The rooms are comfortable, nicely appointed in a country house style and the bathrooms were great. Staff were helpful and the restaurants were lovely with some very good food. The area around is great and you should get out and about. Nearby Auchterarder has... more

The golf, the spa,the food, the entertainment, the staff, the location.....there are not enough superlatives to do justice to the glenegles hotel. We are a family of 5 with one golfer, one non golfer and 3 children 8,6 and 4 and the hotel suits all of us.The Golf is simply fantastic, the leisure facilities and activities for the children are superb and the recently opened new... more

My wife and I spent a weekend at Gleneagles recently. It was fab, but as ever, expensive. The highlights :- 1) Braid House (the building that our room was in) Heated bathroom floor (the main hotel doesn’t have this), a remote control fireplace and a lovely balcony. 2) Andrew Fairlie The exquisite Michelin star restaurant. Has been refurbished since we... more

We stayed here in January as a birthday treat for my husband. When it was his birthday on the second night, our waiter appeared with a dish of sweets with Happy Birthday in chocolate on the plate ! A lovely touch ! We were booked in for four nights and its the first time we have stayed at Gleneagles. We... more

Our third stay, second at Glenmor we dined at Deseo on the Saturday night, staff as usual brilliant. What is different here is being shown around the food court in effect where the chef's are and where you can pick your fish or meat, really good. The chorizo, monkfish, octopus and prawn paella was to die for very, very good. more

Great place to visit for all the family, very luxurious however it is on the expensive side. Each and every member of staff we came across were welcoming, so elegantly trained, polite, and helpful. The Deseo restaurant was lovely, great service, food was absoloutely AMAZING! (We had steak) However, it was expensive-the wine prices were a bit over the top-the... more
