Our first visit to lovely Scotland (we live in the great city of Chicago) and we were lucky enough to end up at Mains of Taymouth. It was perfect. We stayed in Archway Cottage at Mains of Taymouth by the lovely village of Kenmore. It was absolutely gorgeous and for a traditional building it was so mod inside with designer kitchen and everything we wanted for. Perthshire is the best area in Scotland for touring around - it is so central and you can visit Inverness one day, Edinburgh... more

We stayed at Mains of Taymouth in October and we had such a great time I thought I had to spread the word. Kenmore is a lovely little village by Loch Tay in Perthshire which is just in the Highlands but not remote. The cottages we stayed in were amazing. They really were 5 star and stylish.
