I haven't stayed at Ben Lawers yet but I have eaten there quite a few times and I do plan to stay at some point. I am quite a fussy person and usually find something to moan about but words can't describe how much I enjoy eating there. Ok, so it's not the best looking place until you get into... more

As you round the corner and come across the Ben Lawers Hotel overlooking the beautiful Loch Tay, your heart might sink. As mentioned in another review, an ugly modern house has been built slap in the middle of the view. From our bathroom we looked straight into the house and garden - what was someone thinking? And more to the... more

We only had lunch here and loved it. We sat outside on the decking with our dogs and had a couple of pints of real ale and a lovely lunch. Some places in this region are very restrictive about serving times of meals (which is frustrating in this day and age) but The Ben Lawers does delightful snacks/meals all day.... more

The location is a bit remote, but the rooms were cozy and dinner was fantastic. A wonderful romantic getaway. Breakfast was excellent as well. more

Booked a 2 night break via the hotel's website. We stayed in room 1 - just as described with great views of Ben Lawers from the front and Loch Tay from the bathroom. Room was very clean and well-maintained, bed was really comfy but it might be a bit noisy at the height of the summer season as the main... more

Ben Lawers Hotel is really more of a small rural Inn and as such makes no pretence at being 'boutique'. If it's pampering and glamour you're looking for and if you like sleeping in rooms that look as if Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and the 'Changing Rooms' team just departed then quite frankly you'd be better off elsewhere. If, however, you appreciate... more

We had a very enjoyable 3 night stay here in July. The rooms are small but clean and have everything you need. The food was great and the staff friendly and helpful. It is in a beautiful location and a great spot to base yourself for hiking, fishing or exploring distilleries. Would definitely go back. more

We stayed for 3 nights at what seemed like the height of the season, this is how busy the place was. Saying this however, the staff were always exceptionally friendly and helpful and at no point seemed flustered. The food was excellant, especially the chicken stuffed with haggis with the whisky and cream sauce! And the best cooked steak I... more

Having stayed here with my friend a few years ago, me and my boyfriend booked the room with the jacuzzi and Loch view for my Birthday. The room was a fine size, nothing massive but did us fine, the dog was allowed in the room and the bar, even when meals being served, and the staff were very friendly. The... more

This little hotel pops up out of nowhere as you drive along the northern side of Loch Tay. We booked it because of its isolation and the appeal of its menu as shown on the hotel website. It was terrific. We booked our accommodation six months in advance, using our credit card to secure a double room with ensuite bathroom.... more
