We popped in here for a pint on Sunday evening at about 5pm following a walk over near Killin. There was only one lad who seemed to be working and although it was not busy, he had to serve drinks, food and check guests in. Unfortunately, he did not appear to have any manners, and found it impossible to apologise... More

We booked on the day for an extremely reasonable price. The room was small however very comfortable and nicely decorated. The hotel has a restaurant / bar which was busy with guests and locals Lovely warm friendly atmosphere with great food. Extremely accommodating to my 5 year old - even heated up some warm milk for her Would definitely go... More

Booked an overnight stay and from check-in to check-out our stay was superb. Our wee dog Dylan was even allowed in the bar/restaurant. We had dinner when we arrived, piri-piri chicken caesar salad and a smoked salmon from the 'specials' board. The food was lovely as was the breakfast the following morning. Staff so friendly and attentive. Our room was... More

Stayed in room 1. Comfortable room, nice view. Powerful hot shower. No hassle over checking in shown straight to room. Deck at side of hotel for sitting having drink and looking at view. Food fabulous and service excellent. Breakfast also good. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

We booked this hotel on laterooms.com for a last-minute trip to celebrate my wife's birthday. It is in the most beautiful location you could imagine, and very quiet (compared to the hotels in nearby towns like Killin or Kenmore, this one is really by itself except for the farm across the road). The staff were very friendly and helpful. We... More

Just had a great two night stay here. Although overlooking the road the room was very quiet. Staff very friendly and attentive. Meals were fantastic with a good choice on the menu, very large portions. Breakfast was also very good too. Have already booked to come back again.

We stopped here for dinner, and wondered what to expect. It is an old place and looks it. But, don't let that put you off. We didn't and ars glad we stayed. The food is delicious. I didn't have a starter and am very grateful for that. So my main course was chicken breast stuffed with haggis and black pudding... More
