We stayed two nights and wished for more. This is the most wonderful place to stay; I thoroughly recommend it. The Lotus Flower room is glorious with a fantastic view, the bed is the most comfortable I've experienced in a long time, the ensuite was spacious and very well appointed. But surpassing these is the quality of the hosts and... More

The other reviews have said it all really. Having travelled widely throughout the world, often staying in excellent hotels (at my employer's expense), I am struggling to think of anywhere that has achieved the standard of food & friendly hospitality that Patrick & Keiko provided to Mae and I during our recent 3-night stay. David T's comment, "experience of a... More

Beginning with a warm greeting and orientation by owners Patrick and Keiko, we were captivated by the happiness and peace of Eastward House. The House is a delightful setting for the fabulous breakfasts served each morning. Beginning with fresh fruit, followed by hearty porridge with home-made compote, and finally hot smoked salmon with poached egg or scrambled eggs accompanied by... More

We stayed in the Eastward Guesthouse for 3 nights and we were served with the best breakfast you can get in Scotland. The owners, Keiko and Patrick, gave as a very warm welcome and Patrick shared entertaining anecdotes from his rich background. We made the mistake of not pre-ordering a dinner from the Missing Bell restaurant, but luckily we were... More

Thank you Patrick and Keiko for the experience of a life time! Hospitality. Food. Location. Amazing in every way. We cannot thank you enough for such a wonderful time. You could not have made us feel more welcome. You made our stay with you very special, and our trip an unforgettable one. Thank you so much!!

Patrick and Keiko made amazing meals for us during our three night stay. The food is spectacular - really a foodie heaven, with all kinds of fresh and locally sourced fruits, veggies, and meats. The "Orcadian feast" -- boar, deer, and mussels -- is not for the faint of heart! There's a beautiful walk right from the B&B to soaring... More

This B&B is all about seriously good food, so make sure you book an evening meal as well. Wonderful breakfasts set you up for great days out - especially good if you're walking all day. We've stayed in Orkney on 7 different occasions in multiple hotels/B&Bs/self-catering places and this B&B is unlike anything else you'll find on the islands.

Eastward is a beautiful B&B seemingly at the end of the earth. Our hosts were lovely - their hospitality is unmatched. Patrick provided us with fascinating conversation on many different subjects. The food is amazing! A word of advice - don't stay there without booking a meal. We made the mistake and sorely regret it, though Patrick made us an... More

If you are looking for a great B&B experience on Orkney, look no further than the Eastward Guest House. Well-appointed in a beautifully renovated old church, the B&B is situated just minutes from the ferry terminal in St Margaret's Hope. Our hosts, Keiko and Patrick, gave us a very warm welcome. Patrick is knowledgeable and is more than happy to... More

Thank you to Keiko and Patrick for a memorable 9 night stay at the Eastward House. Their care and attention to detail is evident in every aspect of their B&B. Their breakfasts were a great healthy and nutritious way to start the day, and so generous we never needed lunch. We also had several dinners at the Missing Bell and... More
