Just returned from a really lovely stay at Eastward House (5 nights). Patrick and Keiko were outstanding hosts - they were incredibly warm, engaging and attentive and went above and beyond what we would expect from a normal B&B stay...from tailoring what we wanted to eat, to making dinner reservations at local restaurants and even ringing ahead to see what... We had been recommended the Missing Bell by friends but wow - what an experience!! We stayed overnight in Keiko and Patrick's beautiful home. The Orkney Supper Club 'Orcadian Feast' comprised of an evening of good company, good music and excellent food. As if we had not eaten enough breakfast was also delicious. We have been singing the praises of... More

Am recovering from another excellent eating experience from the Orkney Supper Club, at The Missing Bell. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening of 'Palaeolithic' food. As always the hospitality & service provided by Patrick & his lovely wife Keiko was second to none, you really are made to feel at home all eveining & the food was just delicious. Thank you... More

My husband and I are Orkney devotees with holidays there for the past nine years. We have stayed in hotels b&bs and eaten in just about all of the eating establishments including the two most recommended restaurants. We are lovers of good food and eat at top places everywhere we go but we did eat the best dinners of our... More

The Eastward Guest House is more than a B&B- its a memorable, rewarding experience in all respects- lovely warm and welcoming hosts, great (superb!) food, and an environment where you can really relax and enjoy. It is a perfect place for visiting Orkney. Beyond excellent surroundings, you have a choice of gourmet meals to satisfy any palate. The owners, Patrick... More

This is my first written review and the only reason I am writing this is because the food and hospitality was better than any I have experienced in my life. From the moment we arrived until the time we left we felt at home. The only breakfast that compares to the Missing Bell's is Brennan's in the French Quarter -... More

Charming converted church with fab views though arched windows of pastures, cows and sea all in one scene. Spotlessly clinical cleanliness but warm, friendly home with perfect organisation of everything needed to have stress free place to chill-out. No annoying cats or dogs (sorry pet lovers) it was the final deal clincher for us. Rooms are pleasant, best bed and... More

These were the three most unforgettable days in a wonderful place. Keiko and Patrick (and their lovely girls) deliver this experience with passion, warmth and love. The sense of pleasure they take in sharing this beautiful house and everything about Orkney is palpable. Our room was gorgeous, the bed large, the sheets soft, the bathroom just right - all framed... We went for a wedding anniversary treat. What people say about the food is right - it beats every eatery locally by a million miles and I am local so I have eaten everywhere to many times to count. The hospitality is more like a homecoming to a very stylish home and it’s not the decor its everything. Every detail... More

Thoroughly enjoyable place to stay with excellent accommodation in every respect. Super clean room with a great bed and quiet night’s sleep every night. The briefing on how to make the best from our stay in Orkney was so valuable and made a real difference to the whole trip. The converted church is a serene and calm atmosphere to return... More
