My wife and I have been staying here on our Orkney visits for 10 years now and our experience only gets better. Morag is a wonder and she preserves the ambiance and authenticity of the Inn with loving care. The great table for breakfast is one of the best places anywhere to meet interesting people and have great food. We... More

My wife and I had intended a return visit for many years. Our first stay was so magical that we were determined to return and jumped at the opportunity when we had a few days free in October. The mill is an amazing building with many of the original features carefully restored. We were lucky that the Millburn suite was... More

Our stay at the Mill was wonderful. It was a great location for touring the Island. Morag was a fabulous hostess. She helped to schedule some tours and provided maps before we set out for the day. The breakfast was so yummy! We would stay here again for sure!

We just spent two nights at the Mill of Eyrland while visiting Orkney. The B and B is in a converted mill, and we slept listening g to the sound of the Mill Burn running by tow stories below. While within easy access to all the sights, and to Stromness, it was on a quiet road. The decorating is antique... More

Stayed here August 2015. Just round the bay from Stromness - a short drive or hour's walk. Ideally positioned for walking access to Ness of Brodgar / Maes Howe. A converted water mill with original fixtures & fittings, most noticeably in guest communal room and dining area. Excellent welcome and breakfast. I would definitely return.

Orkney was a major focus for our trip to Scotland and we enjoyed our time at the Mill of Eyrland. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom bright and clean and breakfast was timely and tasty. We felt at home and were able to explore the islands knowing we could return to the warmth of the Mill.

Morag and her team could not have done more for us during our stay at the Mill. Wonderful place, full of character, in a beautiful area of the main island - a memorable stay in a luxurious home. Thank you.

we stayed at the top floor which had a comfortable bed and a great view. The house is about 4 miles out of stromness in a beautiful location, near all the Neolithic sites. Having a car in stromness is a minus. The breakfast was awesome. The mill is a stone building so you have to go to the lounge to... More

We stayed at the Mill for five nights at the end of June. I recommend the Mill Burn room. The window opens above the burn (stream) so you could here it at "night". Not a lot of darkness in mid-summer this far north. Morag is an excellent hostess. After the third day we needed to wash some cloths and she... More
