I had the pleasure of staying here for four nights in April 2015 during a motorcycle tour. I was immediately made welcome and the advice given for places to visit was invaluable. The nearby Merkister Hotel was a pleasant walk away for evening meals and drinks. Breakfast was wonderful and the rooms I stayed in were immaculate. My final breakfast... More

Pristine B&B accomodation with very welcoming and hospitable hosts. The house is modern with spacious rooms. Generous and varied breakfast. I hope to visit Orkney again, and will definitely be staying at Ashleigh!

We stayed at Ashleigh for seven nights at the end of April / beginning of May. As a B&b it was excellent in every respect. The house is modern and purpose-built as a B&B with accommodation for the owners, too. The bed rooms were excellently furnished and very comfortable. The breakfasts, with a wide range of fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts... More

This b&b is extraordinarily good value and exceeds the quality of many much more expensive places. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and thoughtfully designed. Nothing was forgotten. The breakfasts were superb - a great range of options all cooked to perfection. Superb fresh fruit every morning too. A microwave and crockery were also available if you wanted to make yourself... Friendly informative hosts, perfect peaceful accommodation, centrally situated for many of Orkney's sites. Good eating places nearby. Accidentally left a pocket camera and our host drove 5 miles to catch us up and return to us. Would rate as first class and would certainly revisit.

We stayed here for nine nights at the beginning of June and what a wonderful choice we made. The house is modern, warm and welcoming, with everything you could wish for. Our room was spacious with plenty of storage space as was the en suite with a large shower cabinet and drawers for toiletries. The towels were changed very frequently,... More

We recently stayed two nights at this B and B whilst touring the Orkney islands and wished we could have stayed longer. Its in a beautiful peacefull setting overlooking Harray loch, close to the main archeological sites on Orkney. Audrey our host was welcoming, a fount of knowledge, in fact the perfect host. The room very comfortable with a fantastic... More

This guesthouse is located just off the A986 near Dounby in a rural setting. From that point of view it’s very peaceful and there are options for evening meals at the Smithfield Hotel (The Plout Kirn restaurant) in Dounby or The Merikster Hotel nearby. Both eating places are only a few minutes drive away however it’s possible to walk to... More

Stayed for one night (wish it had been more) and have to say it's the best B&B I've stayed in. The quality of the house and bedrooms and attention to detail is just first class. Breakfast was outstanding, and all for a very reasonable price that is about half of what the hotels charge, and set in the most wonderful... More

As a family of six we had a fantastic weekend here with the outstanding hospitality and immaculate accommodation provided by Calvin and Audrey. Service could not have been more accommodating and welcoming. We would highly recommend this B&B. The Johnston Family
