I recently went on holiday with David Urquhart Coach Travel to Largs in Scotland, staying in Willow bank Hotel; the staff were just amazing nothing was too much trouble, so friendly and helpful. The hotel isn't a 5 star but it really didn't matter. There was entertainment ever night and everyone on our trip really enjoyed their stay. Not forgetting... more

We recently had a Turkey and Tinsel holiday at the Willowbank Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We booked with the David Urquart tour company for a five day, four night stay. The hotel staff were lovely and very friendly, especially Paul the Manager, who also doubled as waiter for some of the stay. Our bedroom was large, clean, warm... more

The first impression is of tartan tackiness and slight delapidation. It is 2 years since the indoor smoking ban but the smell of smoke is still there in all soft furnishings. The first room we were offered was directly above the 'Line Dancing Evening' (beware: Fridays) and you couldn't hear yourself think,so we were moved to the front of the hotel,... more

So dont expect to spend much of your day in Edinburgh as 4 hours of it will be spent travelling. Be... more

9 members of my family had the pleasure of eating at the willowbank on Wednesday evening 2 august, we had a lovely high tea and enjoyed the somewhat busy if not verging on noisy atmosphere at the restaurant in the hotel. the staff were very attentive and apologised for the noise, which really didnt bother us as we were a... more

I have stayed at many hotels across Britain but never have I had the misfortune to stay in one as diabolical as this. Threadbare blankets; 1960's furnishings; a pervading smell of mothballs and a welcome that Basil Fawlty would consider was lacking congeniality were all available for the princely sum of £90 for a double room. more
