My friends and I stayed at the Haylie a Hotel last night - what a great experience! Even if you ignore the panoramic views of the water with the ferry plying across you couldn't ignore the warm welcome, amazing service and the most delicious dinner and breakfast we have had for some time. In particular Emily, who welcomed us, brought... More

I booked this hotel having found it on the internet. We were visiting friends in Seamill and this was the closest hotel available for the nights we required. We upgraded our room to one with a sea view on arrival and were extremely pleased we did as the views were just wonderful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom... More

Dined here on a Saturday night and although the dining room was busy the staff were all pleasant and attentive. The grilled lemon sole, gammon steak, sirloin steak and beef wellington were all well cooked and presented with the choice of either boiled or chipped potatoes being a nice touch. Only two of our party had a sweet as the... More

We only booked a week before we stayed this weekend.Room was great and although we didn‘t have seaview the hotel boasts a lovely lounge with the most fantastic panaramic views of clyde coast. The lounge was a very comfortable room to sit n relax or have a drink pre or post dinner.Staff were welcoming and friendly. The restuarant was cosy and... More

We'd booked a twin and ended up with a suite - the rooms were both well sized, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated with nice bed linen. The lounge and dining rooms have the most amazing views and some superb weather allowed good views of the islands. Unfortunately we'd already eaten so didn't use the restaurant which looked to be quite busy... More

My wife and I have just spent a great night at the Haylie, the room was huge and had a view to die for. And what can I say about the evening meal, I had the best beef wellington I have ever had and finished the meal off with a wee dram in the spacious sitting room taking in the... More

We stayed during a long weekend and, although booked months ahead, we were given the broom closet off the entrance hall, a bare excuse for a room. It consisted of a wee double bed, a two-seater sofa and a couple of hooks on the wall. A skinny single person with a small backpack might have been satisfied with the room... More

I have been many times. Prefer when is quiet. Service friendly and quality of food hard to beat. A menu worth working your way through. I more than enjoyed the seafood platter and always have enjoyed the fillet

Enjoyed a sunny, if not very warm, weekend based here. Very nice up to date room facing the Firth of Clyde with views of the Cumbraes and Arran. Good sized room with modern bathroom (shower over bath) and separate sitting area. Like the small bedside lights which cause minimal disturbance to a sleeping spouse. Very nice, bright residents lounge with... More

I am the cousin mentioned below and agree with what has been written. I would like to say a big thanks to the staff for making the celebration very special. I had been to a "michelin Gourmand bib restaurant" near my home town near Blackpool earlier in the week and I must say my evening at Haylie was much better... More
