Spent a couple of nights at this small but excellent B and B. It is a most beautiful Victorian house with many period features. We had a nice room overlooking the bay watching the ferries back and forth to Milport. It is just a pleasant walk from the centre of town along the front - 5 mins at most. Excellent... More

My sister and I made a trip to Scotland and Largs was one place to catch up with family. Only found The Old Rectory by searching the web and was glad I did. Fiona is a wonderful hostess, full Scottish breakfasts and help with providing information for the area when we weren't with family. We had a front room with... More

We have visited this delightful bed and breakfast twice and have booked again for August this year. The sea view room is delightful, the breakfast delicious and cooked to order, and the owner is so freindly. A sitting room is available on the ground floor and the decor and furnishings are immaculate and in keeping with this period property. The... More

The location of this guest house is perfect, with a nice view from the room we stayed in. The building itself was really authentic. Lovely warm shower! Fiona was lovely and really accommodating especially given we turned up by bike, wet and dirty. Nice big breakfast to set us up for a days cycling. It was more highly priced than... More

First of all, call Fiona direct to make a booking, do not use on line booking sites, their fees are crippling to small businesses. If you like to stay in a place filled with period features and character, then look no further, this place is packed with them. The 2 rooms at the front have spectacular views directly over the... Stayed here after booking another property on late rooms which turned out to be double booked. Fiona stepped in & we were treated to being able to stay in a beautiful property. Spotlessly clean with amazing views, although the weather put paid to the sailing we had a super time. Lovely big bedroom, great choice at breakfast & a friendly... More

From the moment of booking and leaving Fiona (the owner) couldn't do anything more for me and my wife! We arrived at 1AM but That was no problem and greeted us with a smile at the door. We were going to a wedding and it was raining so instead of getting a taxi Fiona gave us a lift. On both... More
