Perfect location but the rooms are nothing like the photos on their website! The rooms are small and the mattresses had dips in the middle off them, the furniture and carpet were old and scabby. Staff we're very helpful but the overall hotel is not worth the money! We ended up leaving and didn't stay the night!

No Internet in room , only the lobby had good connection. No bartender. Receptionist broke the register as I tried to get a beer so i was unable. My room had the heater right near the bed so i had to stay on one side of the bed or else my legs would have had 2nd degree burns. Nice area... More

Went here for my 21st , it was very clean, staff weren't very nice and slow! Portions were massive but really nice food. Wasn't a good kids menu tho. We also booked but they had us down but no table ready. I just thought would of been little bit better. Some things are expensive but nt everything.

Booked fa table for 6 for 7pm on a thursday for a work night out. We had all arrived by 6.45 and sat in the foyier having a drink looking at the menus. When it came to 7.10 and we still hadn't been asked for our order we asked if we could order our food as we were all hungry... More

Thanks very much to The Stotfield for giving us a brilliant wedding. The service was incredible and the food was sublime, I can't fault them at all. The hotel did everything they could to make our special day as perfect as possible and we can't thank them enough for that.

The staff at reception were helpful, the main areas clean and spacious. Sadly the room was very 1980's, particularly the bathroom that was not so well maintained (bodged repairs visible, non matching paint, felt tired). The bed was very comfy, and the location was quiet. At breakfast there were too few staff on, and they were struggling to keep up... More

Staff were Friendly and helpful. Secure bike storage. The hotel is a little tired, but makes up for that in being great value for money. If going to Lossiemouth again Would definitely go back to the hotel.

We decided to try the restaurant as local residents, but on arrival we felt it wasn't clear where to go to get a table. We waited in what we thought was the entrance to the restaurant and the only visible member of staff took a long time to tell us we needed to go to the bar. This was a... More

On arrival the place looks very impressive just across from a golf course and beach. Thats about where it ends. Staff are very cheerful concidering, its all very dated, our room on check in had the bathroom light switch ( it was a pull cord) lying on the windowsill with no way of being able to turn the light on!... Pros: The staff are lovely The location is spectacular - just across from the beach, convenient for the harbour, golf, RAF Lossiemouth and town. Food is quite good - but menu never changes. Breakfast is mediocre Cons: Rooms well overdue a makeover. Have had 3 trips and each time needed to move rooms. In one room the bath panel totally... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A warm welcome awaits you at this family run hotel in Lossiemouth. A great relaxed family friendly atmosphere exists at this hotel and is frequented by many returning guests and locals alike. The breathtaking view from the front of hotel overlooks the Moray Firth and beyond to the Cromarty Firth and to the hills of Caithness. The hotel is directly opposite the ancient Moray Golf Club, and is ideally situated for exploring the Coastal, Castle or Whisky trail, as well as being well situated for visiting the cities of Inverness and Aberdeen and surrounding area. The Stotfield Hotel has recently undergone a refreshing transformation of many of its bedrooms and also the ground floor guest area. However, this historic hotel retains many of its original character and features from 1895, including the fantastic sweeping staircase and period revolving front door. During your stay you can enjoy free access to high speed wireless broadband throughout the hotels public areas, free car parking (limited spaces available, ample on street parking adjacent to the hotel) but most of all comfortable and relaxed surroundings. ... more   less
