The staff here genuinely take an interest in the guests staying, doing their utmost to make you feel at home. Food is exceptional, and the character traditional. I get very bored with chain hotels which are all the same, so staying here was a welcome change. more

this is a lovely old building in well kept grounds. the hotel itself is a little dated on the inside but seen worse. dont feel this is quite 4 star grade though. the biggest dissapointment was when we went to the "cocktail bar" for a cocktail, the 3 staff behind the bar couldnt make a margarita!! so had to do... more

Recently spent just over 3 weeks away (from essex) working locally..and the Ramnee made it all worthwhile...Within days you felt like all the staff were your friends.
