I had an all too brief stay at the Cluny, but it felt like being at home. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The small downstairs bar was lovely and cozy with the gas fire lit, very welcome after being out in the fold. Breakfast was well cooked, with a nice selection to choose from. Unfortunately I had to... More

What a welcome! Arriving in the dark, we had to navigate the rental car up a narrow driveway. Hard to do, when you are in awe of your home for the next 2 nights. Im a kiwi, so an old stone house is excitement. The owner himself welcomed us, took our bags and we checked in. The owner and his... More

Stunning boutique hotel run by a husband and wife team who really looked after us. The hotel is beautifully decorated and kept and feel surrounded in luxury but with a lot of hospitality to add. Felt thoroughly looked after. Def book into the restaurant for dinner. You will be truly spoil even if like me you are vegetarian - if... More

I travel all over the country with my Job, and wanted to find a place that was 'special' and not your run of the mill hotel. I'm glad I found the Cluny Bank and what a gem, fantastic facilities with a very homely feel. The Cluny Hotel is immaculate and my room was extremely comfortable with everything you need including... We stayed for six nights and three fine dining meals in the restaurant. Would have eaten every night but was visiting family for some of our visit. No problems booking meals and Julia changed an evening meal due to a change in family commitments. Really comfortable bed in large room. Lloyd is a very passionate chef and delights in pleasing... Fantastic location in the town of Forres ,close to the town centre but really quiet and really a gem to unearth. The rooms are fantastically comfortable ,clean with state of the art televisions and just brilliant. The best of all for me was the dining at the restaurant. Fine dining is the best way to describe it and I know... More

We stayed 2 nights on business and had some ok rooms that were comfortable and clean but as with most hotels of this type it could do with some upgrading but the big draw is the fine dinning experience. The excellent chef engages with the residents in a fun way and ensures your stay is a memorable one. The prices... More

Cluny Bank Hotel is an absolute gem, with every comfort and service applied. The food was exquisite. The architecture of the mansion and the decor were absolutely gorgeous. Style second to none. Can not wait to go back.

The motto of ‘restaurant with rooms’ says it all really. While this hotel was lovely from the outside, had some good common areas and the breakfast was great, unfortunately the room was pretty ordinary. The heavy drapes, dated furnishings and large wardrobe gave it a small, dark feel and the overpowering air fresher was unpleasant. A tiny bathroom complemented a... More

We are really sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us, we always endeavour to ensure are guests are comfortable and well looked after. Restaurant with Rooms is actually our tourist board designator rather than our motto and is actually an accommodation type e.g. small hotel, inn, b&b. At the time of your booking we noted that you did... More

Had a special birthday overnight dinner, bed and breakfast at the Cluny Bank, our first time. Won't be the last. Accommodation of the highest standard, extremely comfortable. Wifi spot on. Lloyd's food just wonderful. Imaginative combinations of great food, and we loved his passionate reeling off of our dessert choices after the mains. Jules was friendly and welcoming and always...
