TripAdvisor has it's uses...... I booked The Old Kirk on the basis of a search, leading to the reviews and after inspection of the B&B's website. I am so glad I did. My wife and I stayed 2 nights, I wish we could have stayed longer. B&B's don't come much more interesting than this, in terms of the building used;... More

Read the reviews thought we would see it for ourselves on our family weekend away, the Old Kirk did not disappoint. Not only does it offer spacious luxurious bedrooms it also has the added bonus of a snug little library and beautiful living room with log fire lit in the evening, not to mention a superb service from hosts Hilary... We have stayed at Old Kirk three times over the last four years and found it a fantastic experience. The renovated church is inspiring with rooms well appointed with excellent furnishings with views from the two rooms we have stayed in. There are wonderful lounge rooms to relax in altho the opportunity to visit many venues nearby at Inverness ,... More

This was a return visit for us and as usual, I have not been able to find a B & B that even comes close...and I have stayed at numerous B & B's all over Britain! Hilary and Herbie are such a genuinely warm and welcoming couple who bend over backwards to help their guests and promote the area. Come... More

This place is amazing! We had the room with the four poster bed - wow, what a room! The property is beautifully decorated throughout - and we know, because the owners kindly showed us all the bedrooms. Herbie & Hilary are wonderful hosts - always time for a chat and very helpful - nothing was too much trouble. We arrived... More

Hilary and Herbie have left no stane unturned to make your stay in the Forres area a most pleasant one. It was a truly lucky find for a fine mid-February weekend visit - centrally located between Aberdeen and Inverness, the Cairngorms, the Whisky Trail, Findhorn, and as many Scottish villages as you care to visit. We were treated to hearty... More

Best B&B we ever lived in. A unique place with very friendly hosts. Modern bathroom with brand new equipment. Large flatscreen TV and Satelite TV. Rooms are located in the first floor next to the guest lounge. There are only a view miles to Forres. Other atractions are nearby.

Fantastic location for exploring Moray and surrounding areas. The Old Kirk was a wonderful find and we can't recommend it highly enough. The bedrooms were first class , we also had an amazing lounge which incorporated the original church window - but still managed to feel cosy and welcoming. We must also thank Hillary and Herbie who made us very... More

Booked 6 nights for a visit of the Moray coast and Speyside ( whisky distillery visits ). The setting is fantastic, in the country site, but not too far from Forres and Elgin. Herbie adviced us a pub close to them, where it was superb to have a dinner and a glass of whisky. We had the Tartan room at... More
