We recently had an 80th Birthday meal for my father at The Gordon Arms in Fochabers where we were given the dining room without charge. Lynne was my contact and she was brilliant from start to finish, providing me with everything I needed to make it such a memorable evening. Nothing was too much trouble, and the staff made everyone... More

Regularly have meals here and have never had a bad one yet. Always freshly cooked and plentiful and piping hot. Traditional pub food as well as certain 'specials' of the day with prices varying. A lot of locally sourced food along with salmon and trout from the River Spey. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Arrived to a friendly informative welcome. Bedroom was nice, large and well equipped with sparkling bottled water and tasty shortbread. The bed made for a comfortable nights sleep. The bathroom also large with the usual toiletries. Breakfast was also good with cereals, fruit and yoghurt and a vast choice of cooked items. I had poached eggs which tasted a bit... More

As above really. I ate here for three nights before looking elsewhere. The service was variable, at worst it was unwelcoming and bordered on making me feel like I was an inconvenience, at best it was polite. The fish dishes were standard pub fare but very good for that and it was the food that made me return. Don't order... More

A great stop after our first day of walking on the Speyside Way. Helpful and happy staff. The room was large, clean and comfortable, with a bathtub that was a nice treat after hiking for sore muscles. Dinner was excellent, especially the hot chocolate fudge cake with custard and the venison stew.

Basic, slightly dated but clean and efficient pub/small hotel. Easy check in, good sized clean room and ensuite with bath. Good range of local food, quickly and efficiently served. Packed lunches for walkers could be improved - only canned drinks, no cake/sweet snacks for example.

While not staying here we went for our supper here both nights that we stayed in Fochabers. Both nights the food was very good and plentiful. It was very busy the second night but service as still quick and the staff extremely pleasant. I would certainly eat here again when inbyhe area.

The Hotel itself is dated, however it's very clean and the staff are welcoming. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The food is solid pub food, Scottish dishes are worth a try, breakfast is lovely - best kippers I've ever had. I think it's value for money and worth a stop over if your in that part of Scotland-... One night stay, after travelling from Glasgow and arriving at the hotel at almost 10pm the staff couldn't have been nicer. I was exhausted and was quickly taken through the information I needed to know and directed to my room. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The saniflo toilet system sometimes made strange noises but... More

We didn't stay in the Hotel but were recommended to book for dinner as the Speyfast was taking place. Menu choice is good , service was speedy and the food well cooked. However the portions were huge and slightly off putting with so much food on the plates. This might suit some people but we felt it was rather wasteful.... More
