My Husband and I booked to stay for 2 nights when we arrived in the early evening the door was locked and no one answered the telephone number that was on the door. Fortunately we were aware that the hotel across the road was owned by the father of the owner of this establishment. We went there and were given... More

Stayed 3 nights. Arrived to be shown room. Although we knew no dinner it was surprising to find no breakfast available only baps after 9am. I asked for toast but they didn't do marmalade so ended up with coffee only which was like warm. 1st night sort of quiet. Could hear all traffic and passersby. 2nd day after visiting roslin... More

We stayed here for one night to attend a nearby wedding. The staff were really friendly and gave us tips on things to visit the next morning and asked how our wedding was when we came back for a final evening drink. Breakfast great, lots of choice and all fresh. Would stay again if in the area.

This is a period property in an historic village, the main attraction being Rosslyn Chapel itself. There is a tearoom which appears to be open to the public from 9am until late afternoon, serving breakfast rolls, pastries and cakes. These looked very nice and seemed to be reasonably priced. The staff we met (the receptionist and night porter) were very... More

After visiting the Roslin Chapel we had lunch in the Roslin Hotel. Super friendly staff who served us Nice Food: haggis, fish and chips and burgers: all very tasty. The interior of the hotel is classic but nice. The terrace outside with the wooden tables and chairs are nice when the sun is shining.

We enjoyed witnessing the new start at Roslin Guest House (formerly Glen Hotel)- new owners and clearly a new makeover. The room was clean and fresh, the new owners welcoming, and their hidden secret weapon- a great new coffee shop!

I have to come to Scotland on a regular basis and stay at the Roslin Glen Hotel, I have no idea were the other reviewers stayed, it was not here. The hotel is warm and inviting the staff friendly and professional, the decor of the rooms is outstanding, the new owners have put in a lot of time and energy... More

I stayed at the Roslin Glen Hotel (Roslin Hotel, across road from The Original Roslin Hotel) for 2 nights then again the following month for 3 nights. You cannot take in previous reviews seriously, in fact I personally would dismiss them, as it now has new owners, I was treated very well by the fine and professional staff. The hotel... More

I'm so sad to have to write this review because I have had some very pleasant stays here, some great food and shared some good company, but they were 16 and 14 years ago. I have just had the most horrendous overnight stay I have ever had, anywhere, and, although I am a fairly seasoned traveller, this is the most... More

My boyfriend and I made the mistake of choosing this hotel instead of the one across the road for lunch after visiting Rosslyn Chapel. We were seated at a dirty table (even though the hotel was deserted) I thought that maybe they had been busy for lunch so didn't think too much of it and just moved to a clean... More
