We stayed here for three nights and most of the time the weather was horrendous, so we were glad to come back to a warm, comfortable hotel at the end of each day. Staff were extremely friendly, especially the manager/chef (Duncan, I believe) who went above and beyond to make us welcome and give us superb meals. We both thought... More

Very comfortable guest house with wonderful (and generous portions of) food. Great location and the staff were fabulous, very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Would definitely go there again and happily recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in a quieter part of Arran. No lift at the guest house so you need to be mobile to... More

We had a very good dinner here. The couple runs the hotel only since lately, so this is still an insider tip. The food is freshly made, great meat and delicious salads. The Cook combines traditional scottish recipes with refreshing individual accents. Beautiful seaview with the changing evening light included!

Apparently the Burlington is under new management, and while it was a good place to stay, I think the folk running it are still trying to get organised. Check-in and check-out were a bit sluggish, with staff not really knowing what to do, and having to seek advice. My room was fine, and the bathroom had a bath, which was... More

Only ate there for the first time tonight, under a new chef and i must say i thouroghly enjoyed the meal i was presented. We were a table of 5 and a child and they catered to all our different needs. Would suggest that people give it a try because i know that i will definately be back, thanks

The hotel is nicely located in front of the seashore and in a nice quaint building. The rooms are a bit small and old fashioned (old electric heater and very old kettle) and the only common areas are the bar and the dining room, and in my room one could hear a very loud noise when the kitchen ventilator was... We decided with short notice to visit Arran and tried all over to get booked for a busy Bank Holiday Weekend. Having emailed and rang round John from the Burlington emailed to say he had a double room available. When we tried to book the ferry to Arran we found that only the late sailing was available and contacted John... More

Really fine and comfortable guest house with lovely hosts who made us feel like welcome guests. Top floor room was small but perfect in every way - great view from window and a window seat to help enjoy it. Breakfast was great, set us up for the day. Highly recommended.

Having arrived on Arran with CalMac's £99 Car and four people, 5 Ferries deal it was a nice surprise to have such a clean well organised hotel. The owners were friendly and soon had us in our room. Ours was at the top of the building but it was huge and well laid out. A huge bed, ultra clean toilet... More

Fantastic location, hotel ok,John very informative and cooks an excellent breakfast. Arran the Island everyone tells you it is split into two halves north and south, for me it should be east and west,on the east side there is quite a lot to do and see, west side hills sheep and sea.
