Popped in for a beer after a walk. The bar staff could not have been nicer and chatted away to me and my wife from the second we walked in. Had a great education in different kinds of whisky from them. It has great views and a great stove. I could not have asked for a more welcoming pub. I... More

Just returned from a lovely trip to Arran but we made the mistake of having lunch at the Lochranza Hotel. Firstly - don't expect to get served if you're English - even if you are the only ones in the bar at the time. The barman will wait until his friends have come in some minutes after you... and serve... More

We didn't stay in the Hotel we were in the village but we really enjoyed our meals here good size portions and very tasty, nice range of beers although no real ale on our visit but it was out of season. Just local bottled beer , but Sunset from the local Arran Brewery was very good, Biggest collection of Whiskies... More

Lovely service very friendly . Recommend lots. What a wonderful visit. I will tell friends and family to check this hotel out. Nothing too much trouble at all . Whatever ur request or needs. Staff all had time to chat and were very good at giving local information.

First class food with homemade bread , freshly made soup and good service from friendly staff.was impressed by baby changing table in men's lavatory which showed an original and modern approach that characterises the whole hotel

We ate here twice whilst staying on Arran, as it was within walking distance of where we stayed. It has a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, the food was good and reasonably priced and it was nice to find somewhere that offered 'real' ale.

This is a great location for some wonderful walks on the wonderful island of Arran, and also just 10 minutes walk from the Arran Distillery. My room was comfortable and the bathroom a decent size, although some friends in room 4 found it a little cramped - 3 beds (1 a bunk bed which wasn't clear in the description) and... More

The good bits - breakfast and the restaurant were both good and served by charming staff. The front of the garden, a sort of pub garden, was excellent. Wifi free and easy. The bad bits – bedroom and en suite in need of a refurb – creaky bed and generally needing work. Had problems understanding receptionist - thought it was... More

I have just eaten here, the food is reasonably priced, the portions are large, the atmosphere in the bar is warm and friendly and as it has a captive audience being the only pub in the area it is busy. Food is hot and fresh and also most staff are friendly.

Great place. Really nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly and the food was really nice, so nice we went back the next day! A must if you're a whiskey drinker, there was a huge amount to choose from. We didn't venture for the £375 per shot one though.
