This is a great location for some wonderful walks on the wonderful island of Arran, and also just 10 minutes walk from the Arran Distillery. My room was comfortable and the bathroom a decent size, although some friends in room 4 found it a little cramped - 3 beds (1 a bunk bed which wasn't clear in the description) and... More

The good bits - breakfast and the restaurant were both good and served by charming staff. The front of the garden, a sort of pub garden, was excellent. Wifi free and easy. The bad bits – bedroom and en suite in need of a refurb – creaky bed and generally needing work. Had problems understanding receptionist - thought it was... More

I have just eaten here, the food is reasonably priced, the portions are large, the atmosphere in the bar is warm and friendly and as it has a captive audience being the only pub in the area it is busy. Food is hot and fresh and also most staff are friendly.

Great place. Really nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly and the food was really nice, so nice we went back the next day! A must if you're a whiskey drinker, there was a huge amount to choose from. We didn't venture for the £375 per shot one though.

lovely location.rooms are a bit tired looking and the place could do with a makeover.however room was adequate for a 1 night stay.unfortunately we were woken in the morning at 7am by someone(staff i think)playing very loud music!breakfast in the morning was good and served by a nice friendly waitress.

This is very noisy hotel/pub. The walls appear to be paper thin and the doors could do with having some sort of dampener on them to stop the noise when people came in. The food was very good and the staff very friendly. The location is fantastic overlooking the loch.

A group of 7 friends and I stayed at the Lochranza Hotel for a Bank Holiday weekend. The location is superb, the quality is good for the price and the food a high standard for pub type grub. Service is friendly, albeit slow on a busy night. Excellent value for money - I would stay there again.

Having read previous reviews we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the hotel. Andy the Bar Manager gave us a very warm welcome. He showed us to our room, which had a spectacular sea view. The room wasn’t ultra modern, but it was in keeping with the style of property, it was very clean and had lots of little... More

Just returned home after a 4 night stay at the Lochranza Hotel this being our second visit this year. Once again cannot fault the hotel, excellent location, great food, staff very friendly and hospitable. The local people who use the hotel as their local meeting place were friendly and welcoming.I would not hesitate in recommending the Lochranza Hotel.

We stayed at the Lochranza Hotel, for two nights in July, we enjoyed a perfect location, with great views and very peaceful. The staff were attentive and friendly and food was excellent, well presented and plenty of choice on the menu. The Bar is excellent and so much better than a few years ago, when smoking was allowed. Parking is... More
