Enjoyed our stay...nice location..staff extremely friendly and helpful. Room was a bit cramped however, we knew that (website is clear on room pricing etc.) and it was fine for our needs. Appreciated the tea making facilities and the complimentary water and wifi. Lovely decor. Funky high end toiletries though ladies with long hair need to pop into Arran Aromatics or... More

Hotel has been updated and was clean, tidy and well decorated with small cosy sitting rooms with comfortable chairs. The eating areas were subdivided and this made them more appealing and more personal. We had dinner and I chose the Inn-House Smoked Mussel Chowder at £5.45 and was looking forward to it but was SORELY disappointed in the course. There... More

We have just spent 3 nights in the beautiful, spotlessly clean room 14, with amazing views over the sea to Holy Isle and beyond. It was a real treat to stay here - we were married in Lamlash just 30 years ago, and thought it was time for a bit of luxury. This is a really lovely hotel. We can't... More

We recently spent an overnight at the Glenisle and our one complaint was that we wanted to stay for two nights, but booked too late. Lamlash and the Glenisle have been constants in our annual trips to Arran since we went there for a mini-honeymoon. It is now our anniversary present to ourselves We have stayed there three years in... More

This was one of the highlights of our visit to Arran. Immaculate hotel, great location and excellent food. Our Australian quests were very impressed and remarked at how lovely all who worked at the Glenisle were. Friendly and informative and nothing was too much trouble. Our "cosy" rooms were ideal and the decor of the hotel was of a very... More

We farm and run a busy tourism business ourselves, so it was a real treat to slip away for four nights and find somewhere like The Glenisle, where customer service and standards were of the highest order. The staff were lovely. There to provide whatever you needed, without spoiling the relaxed feel of the place. Food delicious, room beautifully done... More

This is a super place in the quieter town of Lamlash, but still only 5 mins drive from the ferry. Service is lovely, efficient and friendly. We were celebrating a special occasion and had the premium room ( no 14) which was a mini suite built into the eaves. Lovely facilities with a boutique feel but unlike many such places,... More

We stayed here for three nights as we were married at the Register office and wanted to treat ourselves to a lovely hotel. The reason we chose Arran or indeed the hotel was solely based on the fantastic bath with the amazing view - my No 1 criteria!! and it didn't fail. The suite at the top was very special... More

Room 14, with stunning views to the Holy Isle. We were not disappointed. Lovely hotel, accommodating staff. All in all a wonderful few days and the perfect choice of hotel as we were getting married on Annan. The breakfast were excellent, make sure you sample the special porridge. Excellent Fayre in the Bistro. Well worth the Tripadvisor rating.
