Hotel is beautifully presented- both generally and in details. All the team are attentive and delightful. Room was luxuriously comfortable with lovely touches- the most cosy bed, great views, very nice bath products, delicious shortbread, binoculars to borrow... I applaud decisions to use, and credit, local suppliers and trades. Will return and have been recommending. One disappointment - the tea.... More

The owners were very hospitable, the breakfast excellent, the room very nice. The ocean is right out the front door and you can watch the tide come in from the window. The only drawback for us, not driving, was the infrequent bus service. We spent more time waiting for the buses and ferry than we would have liked. If we... More

Lovely hotel with a great location (stunning views of Holy Isle and the Arran coast), superb friendly staff who made it their mission to remember your preferences, where you'd been for the day etc - in a stylish, cosy building. We had a "cosy double", which was perhaps a bit too cosy for for my tall husband, but all that... More

We only stayed for 2 nights but will definitely return if we visit Arran again, which I expect we will. Our room was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed, including a pair of binoculars which you were welcome to use during your stay. Service and food was excellent with local food and drink available. I recommend the Arran Beer... More

The location is stunning, right on the beach, and all of the staff, from our arrival to departure were absolutely brilliant. We asked the owner how we could best occupy our time on our 1st day there, and had a superb afternoon visiting all the places he recommended. If/when we come back to Arran, we wouldn't even consider staying anywhere... More

We came into Brodick at 8am on a Saturday morning, and the Glenisle was open thank god. Excelllent breakfast and service. Looked a lovely hotel, could park outside. The porridge with whisky and cream is to die for!

This was our second trip to the Glenisle hotel. It is a very well run hotel and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We were a little disappointed not to have a bath in our room (although we had not requested it beforehand) and the staff did try to rearrange the bookings but weren't able to do so, so... More

Thank you for your lovely review. I was very glad to hear that you enjoyed your return visit. Also glad to hear that you enjoyed the kippers and your drink on the terrace. I also wanted to make a quick comment about the bath. Some people prefer a bath and some prefer a walk-in shower so some of our rooms... More

We chose this hotel as our reception venue after a small wedding at the nearby registry office. We had looked at other hotels on the island but the staffs friendly emails back and forth and personal touch was what made it the one for us. We also stayed in the hotel in the premier suite and found it to be... More

My husband and I stayed at the Glenisle and feel it well deserves all of the awards it has received including best small coastal hotel in Scotland (2013). Warm, cozy, and ultra-clean, our room was so thoughtfully appointed we felt utterly at home. The staff was beyond accommodating. The food is just delicious. Having a quiet tea after dinner with...
