We stayed here for my son's 16th birthday and got room 4, which was very spacious and even with two double beds still had space for a three seater sofa and an armchair giving a lovely seating area. The views from the window over the Holy Isle were incredible but unfortunately when sitting down you could not see out. Its... More

Very nice hotel with upgrades to the front entrance currently being carried out (should be completed this week). Stayed for one night and was made very welcome by Ian & his staff. The service and food was also very good. Our room had amazing views over the sea to the Holy Isle and was clean & tidy with an en... More

My husband and I stayed here again for a long weekend in February. It is the fourth time we have stayed here and as always, it was fantastic. Our room (room 6) had a fab comfy four poster bed and a lovely seating area with views across the holy isle. We ate dinner in the restaurant each night and the... More

This was my first time here and I was made to feel very welcome on my arrival. My room was great. Very spacious with a fantastic view of Holy Island. Dinner and breakfast were excellent too. Highly recommended

Had 2 nights in the hotel and found it comfortable and clean. We were in room 2, which faces the rear but view was not important for me. There was some noise from the neighbouring room, due to the thin walls but it was only normal 'comings and goings' The hotel is pet-friendly and dogs are welcome in the bar,... More

A clean room with nice en suite bathroom. We were in the attic and pleasantly surprised at how nice our room was. Clean towels every day, lovely full cooked breakfast, bar was ok , didnt try the restaurant but there were plenty people in there. Overall i'd say value for money.

Good little hotel. Not massively expensive for the single room - cheaper than you'd pay for a 'budget' basic hotel in a city, except here you get all the extras included. Clean and tidy. Choice of decor is of course subjective - not something really worth mentioning here as others have! Great location. Restaurant nice enough. The service staff could... More

Looking at some of the previous reviews after I'd booked, I was starting to worry whether I was going to check into a hell hole - okay, a bit of an exaggeration, but some of the other reviewers seem to be prone to that too! I had Room 8, which is the top right window (in the apex roof). For... More

We spent 3 nights in this hotel. Our room, 3, was large and yes very brown. It was clean and comfortable. As we intended to cycle during our stay we had a few different jackets etc -we could have done with either more hangers or some hooks. The shower room was clean but the shower cubicle was a wee bit... More
