The list of faults ranged from a freezing cold bathroom ( no radiator) to black plastic bag jammed in around window frame to stop draughts. The heating cranked on... more

I've been meaning to write a review for a while, and after reading some of the nonsense by other contributors thought it was about time I did. Yes, the carpark is best described as "rural" and if the depth of a tarmac surface is vitally important to you, then you should definitely avoid driving on Arran's roads. An Olympic sized... more

We rang to book this hotel and we were asked if it ws for a special occassion, we said it was our honeymoon and were told by the hotel that we could have the honeymoon suite. We had room... more

This is the second time I have stayed at the Kildonan Hotel and on both occasions I had a great stay. The hotel staff were so helpful, flexible, attentive and professional. We were given the use of the restaurant for our art class for the entire weekend, without any problems. The rooms were perfect especially after the refurbishment...clean, tidy and... more

Shower head was filthy, rubber seal on shower screen was black, hairs in the bath. Extractor fan in ensuite bath room not working and when reported to reception went unacknowledged. No iron in room-sent to use laundry room which was a serious health and safety hazard -extention cables everywhere and boxes and furniture strewn across path way-and from a cleanliness... more

We stayed at the Kildonan for a couple of nights to attend a wedding held at the hotel. The location is absolutely breathtaking, with views from the beach over to Aisla Craig and the lighthouse. As a wedding venue it was superb with the whole day running very smoothly and excellent food. However, we were disppointed with the accomodation. Our... more

We spent 6 nights ay the Kildonan - accompanied by our daughter, son in law and 1.5 year old grandson who were there for the first weekend. The manager and staff could not have been more helpful. The food was beautiful both in the bar and in the dining room. The scenery, location, service and accomodation left nothing to complain... more

En route from a couple of nights in the Lake District to a wedding in Aberdeenshire, we detoured to spend a couple of nights at on the Isle of Arran. We booked a twin room (room 17 on the ground floor) and a double room (room 5) on the first floor. Great views of the sea, comfy beds, warm rooms,... more
