A very comfortable B&B with helpful owners and two comfortable lounges for the use of residents. Restaurants within walking distance, particularly enjoyed eating at the Brodick bar and brasserie - highly recommend. Owners happy for us to use the dining room to have a Chinese takeaway. Rooms very comfortable and warm. Breakfast tasty and recommend the full cooked breakfast! Overnight... More

Four of us stayed at Glenartney on the first leg of our islands cycle tour. Booking and payment was very straightforward, we got a friendly welcome from Angela on arrival, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Great advice on where to eat in the evening and a terrific breakfast set us up for the day. Will definitely return.... More

On a wild and windy day my wife and I began our cycling trip around Scotland, starting on the Isle of Arran. The ferry across was enjoyable giving a great view of Goat Fell covered in snow. When we reached Brodick we soon found the Glenartney. A perfect location up a slight hill from the sea front with views across... More

Last minute decision to go to Arran for the weekend and what a find this hotel was, very easy to find and great location in Brodick, quiet area but close to amenities, very cosy and felt like being at home with the lounges, lovely extra touches of fresh milk and cake on arrival, small but cosy and ample sized double... We are extremely sorry you weren't comfortable at The Glenartney. Thank you for your review, such a shame you left without speaking to us, It is very unusual that our dog Alfie was barking, we are really vigilant about any noise, this would have been an exception as by 9pm he is usually spark out. He wears a spray anti... More

Very thoughtful and lovely place to stay. The breakfasts were great and the staff very sweet to talk with. Angela gave us a nice and to the point introduction to the property which I hugely appreciated and really is an excellent example of the whole stay. Well thought out, comfortable, with easy access to whatever information you might need.

We stay here all the time. Central small rooms but character rooms. Quirky drawers and wardrobes. So friendly and helpful. A special Angela who is an artist too lovely pictures adorn the house. And I must mention anda she is so lovely at breakfasts.

We spent 11 very comfortable nights in Woodlea, Glenartney's cottage, with our three dogs. It was a pleasure to meet Angela our very pleasant, helpful and friendly hostess. The cottage is very well equipped with everything we could need (OK, self-catering for us is breakfast), especially a very fast and reliable Broadband. There was plenty of hot water, there are...
