A great base for exploring Arran. if you are going to arran to explore and enjoy the island then this hotel is very central and straight across from the ferry terminal. What a dump!!, places like this are an embarrassment to Scotland and Arran. We were inmates here for a long weekend; fortunately we were released early for good behaviour. The only way to keep your sanity in this truly dire hotel is to treat it as a joke and never, ever contemplate returning. It is an unrelentingly dreadful place where the poor standard of the rooms is surpassed only by the dinners which were re-heated from the 1970s. more
