If you didn't like the Belvedere, you must have been visiting an Arran in a parallel universe! Chris & Jan were very welcoming, they made a brilliant breakfast (huge choice) and the house is really comfortable. Our (multinational) group has travelled together all over Europe and we felt instantly at home and comfortable here. I'd recommend it to anyone. John... more

I arrived jet lagged after an overnight flight from the U.S. and was given a warm and solicitous welcome. Chris and Jan couldn't have been kinder or more hospitable. They were generous with their time and knowledge of the island. I stayed in Room 5 which was very comfortable with a view of Brodick Bay. I loved the collection of... more

I've stayed at the Belvedere several times and always really enjoyed it. Jan and Chris are very welcoming and friendly, the breakfast is great, the view from the dining room is stunning and you can tell that they really care about their guests. I've stayed in a single and a twin room at different times and found both to be... more

Our first ever stay in a B&B so we were a bit nervous about what we'd experience. Suffice it to say wewere very pleased. The room was clean, spacious and comfotable with a fantastic view. Chris was very hepful with tips on local attractions and where to get a good dinner. Highly reccomended more

I'm just back from the Belvedere. I'm an Arran regular and have stayed in many different places and I found the Belvedere to be a great place to use as a base. Chris and Jan were very welcoming and the guest house had a lovely homely feel to it. We didn't make much use of the shared lounge but it... more

My friend and I booked up for a spot of R&R out the city and hopeful hillclimbing. We booked up after searching for places open at this time of year, and reading the reviews (the good outweighed the bad, so we went for it). I thought that paying £76 per night for the room, would liken it more to a... more

Sold as a guesthouse. Expensive but with B&B standards. The twin room was sandwiched between the dining room and the kitchen with thin walls so there was generally some noise and the need to keep quiet with the TV turned down etc. The towels were quite worn but weren't replaced on a two night stay. Shower was a very low... more

Just returned home from a visit to the Isle of Arran where we stayed at the Belvedere. We had booked to stay for 5 nights on the basis of the feedback we had read on another site that the hotel uses to advertise its rooms. We left after 3 nights because the room (No.2 with ensuite) was so cold. Maybe... more

We stayed at the Belvedere for a long weekend in March, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There is so much to see and do on the island, we definitely intend to come back soon. Chris of the Belvedere made us feel very welcome, and the hotel has superb views of the sea and of Goat Fell. We also liked having dinner... more
