My husband decided to whip me off for a night away and chose the Queensferry Hotel as it was one we had viewed for our wedding. We arrived on a very wet and windy day and got a bit lost as the reception had been moved but staff were quick on hand to direct us to the right place even... more

Stayed here overnight before flying out of Edinburgh Airport which is about 15min drive. The part of the hotel our room was in had been recently refurbished and was very nice although the parts that had not been refurbished looked very shabby and I really wouldn't have been happy staying in these areas. Service was perfectly acceptable and friendly but... more

I stayed for two nights in Aug 07. The hotel looked nice and was looking forward to a great view. The reception staff were nice and helpful; explaining exactly where everything was. I got to my room and was happy to see I had a great view of the bridge (lucky to see a misty August morning too) and the... more

As a family, we stayed in rooms 102 and 104 for a Murder Mystery Weekend. Everything was spotless, the carpeting, beds, curtains and especially the wonderfully modern and spacious bathrooms. We found the staff to be pleasant, helpful and courteous. The buffet breakfast had many offerings and the three course dinner was about average for such an event. The views... more

Stayed here in October 2007 and thought the hotel was great. We stayed in the newer block towards the back of the hotel (Room 116) and had an excellent view of the River Forth and the bridges. Room was clean and well furnished. The bathroom was nice too with an outstanding power shower which blew the cobwebs away. We ate... more

I stayed here for a week on a residential course & was very impressed by the hotel, which at the time of staying (late Mar 2007) was well through a major refit. The main selling point of this hotel are the views. It has the "wow" factor, especially on a clear day. Rooms are good sized, modern & above average.... more

We stayed in this hotel for one night and we really loved it. Our room was on the 1st floor. It was big, cute and clean with large bathroom. Breakfast was very nice. There's a restaruant, tourist information and gift shop which were very useful. Also there's internet point. It takes 30 minutes to get to Edinburgh. You can easily... more

I've stayed at this hotel three times this year on business. It's neither good nor bad - just non-descript and has no real character or interest. Just somewhere convenient for me to stay when in the area on business. On all stays the rooms though different were identical in lay-out and facilities. There's no SKY Sports channels on the bedroom... more

Having read good reports about this hotel we booked a room for one night. Probably the worst hotel we have ever stayed in, room smelt awful and the breakfast was disgusting. Would never stay there again!! more
