I visited this hotel briefly for a pre-booked meal (high tea) with a party of around 35 people. I believe the hotel is a favourite for weddings and similar. The service was pleasant and efficient and the food was very good in my experience. although some of the party thought the fish choice was a little dry, so I cannot... More

I stayed here one night with my little girl. We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist and then found our room, which had a lovely view over the water. The beds were comfy, facilities decent for 3 star, we both liked the free wifi. Breakfast was fine too. We would definitely be happy to stay here again, and I... More

Stayed two nights and although didn't eat my evening meal there breakfast was very nice. This hotel was ideal for my situation with work being less that 2 miles away. Staff extremely helpful and engaging. Premises are mid refurb and my room had been completed to a good standard. Hotel site opposite the new forth bridge and gives a fantastic... More

We arrived at the hotel to a lovely welcome and from then it went downhill. I emailed before my stay asking for a room facing the bridges as a surprise for my partner but instead we got a room right at the back facing grass and being able to see rubbish from the refurbishment. The room is dated, wallpaper falling... More

Dear Jenny J, As we have been conversing directly and, I thought we had found resolution, I am somewhat disappointed to see your post on Tripadvisor. I am aware that you have e-mailed 4 times but, as they were within the space of 36 hours for which, unfortunately I was out of the business, I contacted you as soon as... More

Initial welcome great. Room very basic. No local or hotel information on the room at all. Website stated room service but I wasn't told anything about it and no information in the room. Went down stairs and was ignored at the bar for 10 minutes felt uncomfortable so eventually went back to my room hungry and tired. Staff did not... More

We booked to stay here on Saturday 28th March as we were attending a function here that night. Got a great deal on line for dinner, bead and breakfast. Check in was really easy and we had a lovely room overlooking the bridges. Very clean room and comfortable large bed. Plenty pillows. Tea and Coffee facilities in the room also.... More

Loved our overnight stay, in this warm, VERY friendly Hotel. Booked the deal which included: Double room, evening meal with bottle of wine, and breakfast. All for under £80 for 2 people ! Add to that, the stunning views and impeccably mannered staff, and you cannot possibly go wrong ! Ok, so the rooms look a bit tired, (refurbishment on... More

I couldn't actually find anything wrong with the Hotel apart from the promised "River View" didn't come up to scratch we ended up looking at Builders cabins and wire fencing. Apart from that the rooms were clean, the staff were polite and friendly and the food was really great and they catered for my wife's dietary needs. I would most... More

Dear BorehamwoodCraig, I am sorry the there was wire fencing involved in your river view. The hotel is undergoing renovation and the top end of the car park has been cordoned off to keep all vans/equipment and such likes contained - it is an unfortunate necessity and hope that it did not tarnish your experience too badly. I am pleased... More
