We were here with an Itison voucher for lunch. Traditional old hotel, nothing fancy but clean & comfortable. Our 3 course lunch was amazing for the money paid. We both had fishcakes, fresh & very tasty. My husband had the steak & I had steak pie. Then sticky toffee pudding! The food was excellent & plentiful. Service was extremely friendly... More

We booked this hotel through a deal site. We arrived at 5 pm the bar was full of locals, whom we and a good laugh with. The hotel has a new Chef who prepared a lovely three course meal, definitely not pub grub. Our room double in bedroom one was overlooking the bridge, huge comfy bed and very comfy, nice... More

Room was on top floor ( no lift but not an issue for me) and did have view of bridge which was nice as it was a beautiful day. Nice twin room, very clean and bathroom was also very clean. Check in was basic but friendly. Hotel had laid on a buffet breakfast as our swim event started at 7am... More

Beautiful location but hotel has seen better days although going to be upgraded soon. 6 sheets of toilet paper not renewed as room was not serviced for second night therefore we had to ask for toilet roll then fresh towels at which point we could not have cared less about replenishing milk or tea/coffee. Breakfast was deep fried and burnt.... More

We booked this hotel for our wedding anniversary. On our arrival we were told they had no record of our booking, although I had a printed conformation in my hand. We had booked this hotel three weeks before, the manager (use the title very loosely), Theresa, told us "she was not employed then and would be taking no responsibility for... More

Firstly I would like to say that I am rather confused by the statement that I was unapologetic, given that I apologised a minimum of 6 times, despite the customer speaking to me in a raised voice whilst pointing her finger in my face. Furthermore, the booking confirmation was from Laterooms, not The Albert Hotel. We did not receive the... More

We stayed here on our journey north with our dogs. The location is superb with spectacular views of the Forth rail bridge. Our room was a good size and the hotel clean and comfortable. Locals drink there which adds to atmosphere. Food was basic but wholesome and good portions. Eating in the bar with the dogs was not a problem.... More

This hotel is in the most stunning location right next to the Forth Rail bridge with views of all 3 bridges. The views from the breakfast table and bar were amazing. Our room was nice and large again with a lovely view but this time of the 2 road bridges (one in construction). It's a very down to earth hotel... More

Just stopped for a spritzer in the sunshine and to see the great view of the Forth Rail Bridge. The drinks were fine, service prompt and polite and the locals in the bar very helpful on the subject of trains and buses. The little patio area on the sea wall at the back was nice...except for massive ventilation machine...didn't stop... More

This hotel has a unique front row view of one of Scotland most iconic structures, the Forth Rail Bridge. A lovely old building, the interior is a little tired but does seem to be undergoing renovations which Is exciting as it will become very popular one would think. Friendly staff, nice coffee, good selection of booze. Well worth popping into... More
