Just stopped for a spritzer in the sunshine and to see the great view of the Forth Rail Bridge. The drinks were fine, service prompt and polite and the locals in the bar very helpful on the subject of trains and buses. The little patio area on the sea wall at the back was nice...except for massive ventilation machine...didn't stop... More

This hotel has a unique front row view of one of Scotland most iconic structures, the Forth Rail Bridge. A lovely old building, the interior is a little tired but does seem to be undergoing renovations which Is exciting as it will become very popular one would think. Friendly staff, nice coffee, good selection of booze. Well worth popping into... More

I will admit that we only set foot in this place owing to it being the meeting point for a climb up the Forth Bridge. However, as it had been the meeting point for the whole week, one would have thought that they would have been used to daytime thrill seekers by the Friday. Upon entering the hotel we were... More

This somewhat old fashioned hotel, is uniquely situated under the Forth railway bridge, giving a fantastic and interesting view of the bridge. Room was large, clean and bed large and comfortable. Slight rumble of trains going past the window, didn't bother us much. Breakfast was quite good, of the cooked Scottish variety, not your healthy one. It was a good... More

We stayed here on an itison deal on a cold January weekend. What fantastic value for money with the deal we were on! I was disappointed to see the first room we were offered, but on request, we were moved to a room with a view, and what a view! It made a great treat for my partner’s birthday, to... More

We stayed here as a family for a short break and had a lovely time. The room was spacious, airy and clean. We had a beautiful view of the bridge and it was relatively quiet considering we were above the bar. This is a typical hotel of this era it is quite quirky but that is what we prefer to... More

Only reason I stayed here was because of a Voucher Deal. On arrival, the place outside looks run down and in need of tlc but I dismissed this as I have stayed at hotels before which look run down but are lovely inside, however this was not the case at this establishment. The bar is dull and dingy, the rooms... More

This small hotel is superbly situated adjacent to the Forth Rail Bridge and affords absolutely spectacular views of it - much better than from South Queensferry. Take a 20 minute train journey from Edinburgh to North Queensferry and you are in a different world. The village is historically very interesting being the northern landing for an important sea crossing. The... More
