We stayed in North Queensferry at another hotel but it just had a pub and we wanted a restaurant meal. The food was great, big portions and friendly service. Can recommend the Steak pie and Sticky Toffee Pudding! If visiting again would definitely go back.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant and bar area well appointed. Evening meals and breakfast were excellent and good value. Room 1 was okay size, clean and had FST tv, tea/coffee and en-suite, but could do with decor being replaced. Good value for money. The noise of the passing trains did fade as the night went on.

We weren't given the warmest welcome on arrival with the staff coming across as quite blunt, but they appeared friendlier later on. We asked for a room with a bridge view which we were given. I won't complain about the noise from the trains as this was expected and worth it for the fantastic view. The room seemed very run... More

Stayed here before the Edinburgh marathon. The rooms were basic and pretty old fashioned, but the staff were really nice and they cooked a special pre-marathon big bowl of Scottish porridge! It was very easy to get into Edinburgh and exciting to go over the Forth bridge. The noise from the trains going over the bridge wasn't as bad as... More

Tiny room with paper and paint coming off because of dampness. Shower mouldy. No towel rail. Window drafty. Room cold although in fairness, central heating was " put up" when we commented and asked if another heater was available. Corridors cold, woodwork unpainted and lighting plain bulbs. Finally very limited parking. Great pity as initial welcome friendly and restaurant great... More

Went here the night before we flew off abroad. Have been before but was several years ago and so decided to revisit. Wasn't disappointed and quality of food still as good as before. The nice big fire added to the ambience on a cold night. We also timed it nice as Wednesday was steak night. Two steaks with sides and... More
