Stayed here with my family this Easter. The house is in a wonderful location - right on the edge of the Firth of Forth and within a walkable distance to the Forth Railway bridge. Very easy access into Edinburgh. Rooms were lovely and the breakfast was just superb; set us up for the whole day! The Mackies are extremely hospitable and made us feel very welcome indeed. more

We stayed at the Ferrycraigs House for one night in Oct this year.
We had a large double room which was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was served in a large dining room over looking the Firth of Forth.

Location wise you have a wonderful view, peace and quiet and yet a stones throw from central Edinburgh either by a quick train journey with a station conveniently in the village with late trains back or a quick drive across the now free Tay bridge.

We felt we had the best of both worlds - peace and quiet and not paying central Edinburgh prices but easy access to central Edinburgh if you want it.

We actually went on further up Scotland and it is well placed for lots of historic sights and castles.

All in all a perfect find - recommended. more
