Arrived at Crail 22 August with holiday cottage booked and paid for . No key in proposed place . Waited over an hour then gave up . Went to Balcomie Links Hotel at 6 0pm and was given a large comfortable room with a superb sea view . The deal for 5 nights with breakfast was more economical than the... More

Stayed here on the August bank holiday weekend for two nights. The hotel is in a good location and only 9 miles from St Andrews with plenty of picturesque villages around. We were in room 2 which gave you fantastic views of May island and the Firth of Forth. The room was clean and tidy but a little dated. Breakfast... More

Stayed here on business working in Crail, this is a budget hotel but has everything necessary for a short stay in the area. The town centre and beach/harbour area are within walking distance. Evening meal and breakfast were very good. Plenty of parking available. Recommended.

We had a family room with our 7 year old twins, lovely and clean bunk bed room with power shower. Lovely breakfast, nice bar meal, convenient for beach, a short walk into Crail (no more than 10 minutes). Overall a lovely stay, would rate it more than 2 stars. We stayed in room 10.

Seen a few boards around frail advertising food served daily from 11am until 8:45pm popped in about 5 pm to be told they don't serve food until 6 pm although there was 4 or 5 tables with people eating stayed in the area for a few days but never went back.

Thank you for your review. I think there must have been a misunderstanding about when we serve meals during your visit to our establishment. We do serve meals everyday from 12 noon till 8.45 as advertised on the boards around Crail. In your own admission you say when you arrived at 5pm, there were 4 or 5 tables dinning, which... More

Just love a high tea knowing all those scones, tea & cakes to look forward to after a hearty meal and enough time to digest before bed. Great offer and tables outside weather allowing Al fresco. We opted for steak pie & fish & chips and both great with excellent portion sizes.

Stopped here for a meal after a long day of touring. My son had lamb shank for dinner, I had fish. The meals were simple. I feel both the dining area and food were average. It was a simple pub in a lovely seaside community.

Old hotel with good sized rooms. Staff were very welcoming, the locals frequent the bar and are happy to engage in conversation. Breakfast included. Fruit, cereals, porridge and cooked. Quite warm when we were there and no cooling.
