Selcraig House is a wonderful place to stay and Margaret is a caring and attentive host. We enjoyed 4 nights here in August and would highly recommend it to you. The beds are comfortable and all rooms are en suite. The breakfast it pretty immense with most ingredients sourced locally. Crail itself is a pretty town, the pub and the... More

My husband, baby daughter and I, had a lovely stay with Margaret in the Selcraig House last night. We were only able to get away from Edinburgh for one night, and this was the perfect spot to come. Selcraig is only one street away from the main Market Street, and not too far from the beautiful harbor. Breakfast is warm... More

Absolutely wonderful place to stay, the house is a treasure trove of ornaments, pictures and antique furniture. Built in 1747 it has been wonderfully maintained, our en-suite room, with a 'sea glimpse' had a grand four-poster bed and was very comfortable. Our host Margaret was so welcoming & chatty and provided a tremendous breakfast table of fruits, cereals and cooked... More

After watching the last (delayed) day of the British Open at St Andrews my wife and I were lucky enough to find Selcraig House. It was the most pleasant of surprises and our host Margaret was a delightful person and a pleasure to meet. We were taken by the house which was built in/about 1720 and has been meticulously restored... More

Stayed here for 3 nights this week for the Crail Book Festival. Lovely en-suite single room with glorious views over chimney pots and stepped-gabled houses to the sea and the islands. Breakfasts delicious (I do so like proper poached eggs) and Margaret is so kind and pleasant, and so informative about the local area. Next time I'll do the Fife... More

This 200 years old cottage is located in the heart of the cosy town of Crail, in front of a little car park, 10 seconds to the beach walk. If you're lucky with your booking, you can stay in the sea view room ( and its "dependance" ), so beautiful! Margaret, the owner, is a very kind person; she gives... More

This was our first time in Scotland and we went to St. Andrews to spend some time and was not able to find any place to stay plus it was too big a city so we started south and found Crail. Our first visit to Selcraig House was in 1997. We spent a week with Margaret and got to stay... More

My wife, dog and I had a very happy stay in Crail again. Crail is charming and restful of course, and had an old world charm. Margaret was extremely welcoming as always when we arrived. There is ample parking in front. Her B&B is in a very old, historic home, which is furnished with antique Victorian pieces. It was fascinating... More

We were happy we decided to stay in Crail and not St. Andrews during our visit to Fife. Crail was beautiful, of course, and had an old world charm. Margaret was extremely nice during our email exchanges when booking the room, and was very welcoming when we arrived. There is ample parking in front. Her B&B is in a very... More

Stayed here during July with my son. We were in Crail for a day's golf. The landlady is the nicest person and really couldn't have done anymore for us. We stayed in the twin bedded room, which was very comfortable (although I hate to be petty but the door hinges really could do with some oil)... Anyway, more importantly, the... More
