Friendly, family-run small hotel; an old building but with plenty of character. There's a room upstairs with some information and memorabilia of Major John Dickson who was the longest surviving veteran of the Scots Greys at Waterloo. He took over as landlord after he retired from the Scots Greys; there's a lot of history here and in the rest of... More

We were out on a run round the East Neuk of Fife today in some early spring sunshine but a very cold wind and decided to stop at the Golf Hotel in Crail for a Bar Lunch. We were not disappointed. On entering the large bar area, the waitress asked where we would like to sit and brought us the... More

Had lunch in the bar area and they allow dogs. Food was good and not too expensive. Barman was friendly without being pushy and the bar area was a nice place to sit with a lovely open fire. Not too far from the Coastal path.

Went with four friends to play golf and watch the Ryder cup. This hotel has lots of character so don't expect the most modern of amenities . You'll get wonky doors and other oddities. The staff are brilliant and nothing was too much trouble for them. The bar can get very busy with locals so you must be patient but... More

This is a really wonderful hotel and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is something to die for and the bar is packed with friendly locals. The rooms are nice and airy and clean with all the amenities you could wish for. Well worth a visit.

We were looking for a particular place to eat along the coast - one we'd been to a couple of years ago. As we hadn't yet found it, and were getting hungry, we called in the The Golf Hotel for lunch. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere fine. I was a bit disappointed in the food, but... More

We called into the bar for a drink and we were made to feel very unwelcome by the bar staff. Don't expect a full-on two way conversation, but at least some recognition that we existed. On the positive side beer was good but we drank up quickly and left. Pity really as place has character

Please visit this pet friendly hotel if you visiting Crail. My husband and I and Lucy our dog were there today. The bar is small, friendly and old worldly.Food amazing 100% for value, presentation and taste. Lucy also given a wee treat. You won't be disappointed.

I arrived at the Golf Hotel around 8:30 pm and was warmly greeted by Kerry who showed me to my room and informed me that I was still in time for dinner. Room 8 had 2 double beds and nice clean bath but no view. I went to the dining room and had a hot dish of steak pie with... More
